Room for two in amazing Surry Hills

Apartment - Private room · Kippax Street, Surry Hills, NSW 2010, Australia

The Space

Make my spare bedroom your home away from home when staying in fantastic Sydney.

The argument for staying at my place:
It's only a short walk to some of Sydney's best restaurants, pubs, bars, cafes, shopping and you'll be staying in what was voted Sydney's best suburb in 2012 (now probably uncool). What's that? You love being close to transport? Did I mention it's only two minutes walk to Central station? There's also a taxi rank around the corner and bus stop at another corner (different corner).

I also have a hair dryer even though I don't need it myself. One less thing to pack for you.

Getting to my apartment from the airport is super easy. I think being close to the CBD and transport but also being a quiet street are my apartment's best feature.

My apartment is walking distance to everything in the Sydney CBD. You'll love the convenience as much as I do.

Like many bedrooms it features a queen size bed (linen & towels included) with built-in wardrobe. Bedrooms are upstairs, living space, kitchen and laundry downstairs. The building has a lift, intercom, security entrance and hard wired fire alarms and sprinkler system.

The argument against: The bedroom can get warm on a hot day in summer but there is a fan. If you can't live without air-conditioning then it seems we just weren't meant to be.

If you're like most of the planet and can survive without a/c then lets get back to the argument for:

The kitchen is always clean and you're welcome to use it so long as it stays this way. If breakfast to you means some toast and a cup of tea then consider it included. Break fast is self serve. What about coffee? There must be at least 10 coffee shops within 500m of my apartment.

Beaches: Plenty of buses to the Eastern Suburbs beaches, I'd recommend a day trip to Cronulla or Manly Beach and if you need a beach towel I'm happy to lend one.

I've lived in Sydney all my life so know most of the tips and tricks. I should be able to give you a few ideas on things to do if you don't already have your own list. Sydney can be an expensive city but there are also many outdoor activities that provide great experiences and are free.

Mais uma coisa, eu falo alguem portugues mas preciso practicar mais.

  • Galvin was accommodating as I arrived early on a Sunday morning. The location near the central train station was fantastic for me to arrive and depart by the airport and also to go visit friends in Paramatta. The built in bench in the bedroom was very convenient for spreading out my stuff. I liked having some good places to eat nearby. The Shakespere over on Devonshire had great food at a cheap price. If you want a great location for seeing Sydney and the surrounding neighborhoods this is the place to be.

  • Gavin was a very good host and helped us planning our stay. The room and all the facilities were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location is a good starting point for the exploration of the whole of Sydney and with the detailed directions from Gavin, it's also easy to find. All in all we can only recommend the stay!

  • We had a nice room in the perfect location to explore Sydney and surroundings. We had a good bed and shared the fine shower and kitchen with our host Gavin.
Gavin was very friendly, and let us come and go whenever we wanted. We didn't see him a lot, but when we did he always had time for a chat. There was some confusion about the dishes, unfortunately, but this was our first AirBnB experience and we weren't sure about the house rules.
