Matty is hands down the most accommodating host. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed. The apartment was spacious, clean, and efficient. We will be booking with him many more times in the future. Highly recommended!
We stayed in Matty's beautiful garden cottage for three days and it was absolutely lovely. We had everything we needed plus few extra cute dogs to cuddle. Matty was very helpful and friendly host and he gave us many good tips since this was our first time in Israel and Jerusalem.
Matty was the perfect host. He and his wife and 2 dogs live next door in this lovely garden setting. The apartment is small, but very comfortable and the additional outdoor space and proximity to everything makes this an ideal place to stay.
Our stay in Jerusalem was really nice. The apartment is located in a beautiful area and basically everything is close and in walking distance. The garden is super pretty and it is really nice to sit outside on warm summer nights. There is a little pond with fish, budgies, a turtle and two dogs walking around-really cozy.
Nevertheless the apartment itself was a little disappointing for us. In the pictures it looks really flawless, though it was quite moist in the apartment (which I think was due to not enough fresh air) which resulted in also soggy bed sheets. What we thought also that in some spots it was not really clean, the table was dirty, the rather small shower a little rusty and some insects were walking around (which did not really bother but did make us feel a little uncomfortable). All in all we thought that the apartment needs a little makeover (the walls a new coat of paint etc.) to make it look like it does here on Airbnb. For people who get not bothered by things listed above it is though the perfect place especially because the host Matty makes the stay worth it- he is super nice, always helpful and always there when you need an advice. This together with the awesome location of the apartment and the enchanted garden around it made it nevertheless a nice stay in Jerusalem.
We very much enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean, comfortable, quiet, and very near to the Old City, First Station, and other places for shopping and restaurants. Our host was very welcoming and helpful, and accommodating to our need for a flexible arrival time. We highly recommend this apartment.
We had a lovely stay in Matty and Aviva's apartment. It was in a great area for touring the old city - about a 20 minute walk from the Jaffa gate. Aviva showed us where we could leave our rental car nearby on a free parking street which is very difficult to find in Jerusalem. We took Matty's advice and tried a restaurant in the nearby 1st Train Station complex which was developed from, as you would guess, Jerusalem's very first train station and had a wonderful meal. We thouroughly enjoyed our time in their lovely apartment and can highly recommend it.

About the Host, Matty
Aviva and I love to travel and we enjoy very much to host guests from all over the world in our suites. Many of our guests became good friends and they are returning again and again. We also visited some of them when we were traveling to their countries.
We love Jerusalem very much (in spite of all dificulties - and there are some...) and we are always willing to share our knowledge of some hidden beautiful historical sites, unknown bars or restaurant or other tips with our guests. (only if they ask...)
