Be careful where you park in Southern California. Parking Enforcement will ticket cars and/or tow your car away. For street parking read all the street signs. Be aware of street cleaning days, Mondays and Tuesdays in this area. I recommend for you to always go into a pay to park lot. This can be expensive but it is cheaper than getting a ticket and/or having your car towed. In the event your car is towed, check with the Official Police Garage, who might have towed your car. The OPG in this area is located on Mansfield Ave and Romaine St. 1015 N Mansfield Ave. (phone number hidden). OPG is located about 1.5 miles from the building. Take Hollywood Bl west to Highland Ave south to Romaine St west.

Currently they charge $16. This price may vary or change. Look online for information. This is not in and out parking. You will always find available parking here. There is someone present in the booth 24 hours, 7 days a week. There are other parking locations in the area. These parking lots are owned by different companies. You can look online, type in something like “parking lots Hollywood.” We are located on the corner of North Cherokee Avenue and West Yucca Street. Different lots provide different services, have different hours, guidelines, and charge different rates. Ask about overnight parking and their current rates.

We only stayed with Martha at the Alexa for one night and I wish it had been longer . The apartment is beautiful! The wood floors and brick walls gave off a real creative vibe and being in the music industry that was a bonus for us. The place was very clean and quite comfortable. Martha was easy to work with and very accommodating. Location is awesome and literally a cpl blocks from all the action in Hollywood. Hoping we get to stay at this location again the next time we are in town.
Staying at Martha's apartment 3A was a highlight of our stay in the USA and a perfect launching pad for exploring Los Angeles. The apartment was very spacious, very clean, airy, light and very nicely decorated. It also had lovely high ceilings. In short it had everything you needed for a great and comfortable stay - and really good beds -My son and I slept really well! Lounges, big TV, fans and aircon, comfy bedding and pillows, towels and soap, cooking equipment etc. It was much better than expected and the photos are accurate. The apartment is fantastic value and you could comfortably sleep a family of 4-6 (as there are 2 queen beds (1 in main bedroom and one in the large lounge room) as well as a sofa in the lounge room and a futon in the main bedroom). Martha also kindly went above and beyond to provide me with some start up condiments and basics for cooking! Martha was also very responsive to my every request and was a great communicator. I saw 2 other of her flats on level 3 and a studio on the first floor and they were also very clean, comfortable and attractively decorated. You also get a key to access the laundry and there is wifi that works really well and cable TV. Martha also kindly let us store our luggage in an apartment which was not being rented and we were able to spend the last half hour or so there whilst we waited for our lift to the airport (more on that later - the super shuttle that never arrived - be cautious in using them for your airport transportation). The building is olde world (don't go expecting a brand new apartment block) but it is very clean and easy to navigate and has an outside area where you can sit etc. It is in an amazing location in a Magnolia treed street and just a minute or two's walk and you are on the Walk of Fame. 5 or so minutes up Broadway and you are on the red line to take you to lots of places including Union Station and one of the studios. You can catch buses to Santa Monica nearbyish and there is a tourist info centre not far away on Broadway. Martha also provides you with a wealth of information about every conceivable thing you might want to do whilst in LA. Highly Recommended!!
Thanks Martha for making everything so easy from the first contact you gave us great tips and instructions. The apartment is in an excellent location so close to Hollywood boulevard but (website hidden) was very spacious and had everything we needed to enjoy a great holiday in LA. We will definitely recommend it to our friends in Australia.
Great location, walking distance to good restaurants and hollywood street. Safe
neighborhood to roam in night. Big place and comfortable for four people to stay.
Excellent location to Hollywood blv. Easy access to metro. Old but charming, well maintained apartment. Friendly host. Pleasant stay!
Superb location, right on Hollywood Boulevard, and in a nice area of Hollywood. Lovely apartment that was clean and spacious which we had all to ourselves. Martha was very helpful when I needed to contact her - excellent communication before and during our stay. Only negative is parking is difficult to find and expensive but this is an LA problem in general. Would highly recommend staying in Martha's apartment to anyone. Thanks
Clean and comfortable apartment close to Hollywood attractions. Martha is very nice and took care of my two special requests promptly. The apartment is spacious and airy with tall ceilings and a ceiling fan in each room. Cable includes HBO, and wireless works perfectly. It is in an older building so don't expect everything to be brand new. If you like older homes you'll appreciate this. The lobby and hallways look a little worn but the apartment is very well maintained and quite clean with gleaming wood floors. Bathroom is small but has good water pressure in shower and plenty of hot water. The building residents appear to be mostly young adults. Everyone I met was very friendly and there was no noise from the residents. There is some street noise because it is right in the city but it wasn't bad and fans and air conditioner drowned it out. It was helpful to have a laundry facility on the premises. The apartment has a nice view of the Hollywood hills and surrounding city. The area seems quite safe with a police station two doors down. This is not a super luxurious accommodation, just a comfortable place with plenty of room and close to everything. I had a nice sized bedroom to myself and my kids had plenty of room in the living room. There is a queen sized bed in the living room and an extra twin mattress in the hall closet. Mattresses were all very comfortable. Had we stayed in a standard hotel room we would have all had to share one room and my kids would have had to share a bed, for more money. This gave us much more room, and the money we saved versus a Holiday Inn type hotel more than paid for a couple of very nice dinners out in LA. Be prepared to search for street parking or to pay $10 to $12 each time you park (not per day). All in all I think it is a very pleasant place to stay and certainly very reasonably priced, and with a very helpful and accommodating host, and I would definitely stay here again.
Martha was very helpful giving us lots of information about things to do in Hollywood. The Apt 3A was very spacious and clean and could have held many more than our party of 3. The check in was very easy as Martha provided excellent instructions and did not need to be present so we were able to get into the Apartment with no waiting. The Apartment is one block from Hollywood Blvd and very convenient with a parking structure right next door. I would definitely recommend staying at The Alexa Hotel Hollywood to my friends and would stay there again! Thank You so Much Martha we had a wonderful stay.
