  • My stay at Amy's was really fantastic. I used to live in her neighborhood years ago (right across the street, actually) and I can say with confidence you couldn't stay in a better part of the city. You're able to walk to just about anything you want, and you'll feel safe and confident walking about there. Amy's apartment is REALLY nice, very clean, uncluttered, and absolutely as comfortable as home. (Having laundry in an apartment in an old building is a nice little luxury, too). She was a really mellow and trusting host, and I hope I can find another reason to come back to my beloved city and stay at her place again.

  • Our overall experience at Amy's apartment was great. Amy was very responsive before and throughout our stay. She did everything to make us comfortable and offered recommendations on places to eat/drink in the city.

The apartment was very cozy - a perfect east coast apartment! It was a bit noisy at night, but nothing that kept us up. The neighborhood was very hip and modern, and very walkable. I would definitely recommend Amy's place!

  • Aside from the very audible upstairs neighbors and pipes clanking starting at 5:55 AM every morning and the shower water pressure which was a known oddity...

the stay was excellent - Amy is GREAT and i was able to book this last minute and the area is tremendous, great location and friendly, even on the hip hop bus tour (hop on hop off).

  • Amy was a wonderful host! She met us at the apartment to give us a brief tour and talked us through the checkout process as well. She was very kind to leave delicious chocolates on the pillow, Zagat guides and city information, and even some toiletries to use. We only stayed two nights so we did not use the kitchen, but it seemed to be stocked with anything you'd need, including coffees and teas. There is A/C, wifi, iPod docks, but no TV, if that is an issue for you. There is a monitor that you can hook up to if you want to stream something.

The water pressure is almost nonexistent but Amy warned us she has tried everything - just an old building! The sink, toilet, and shower make some odd noises because of this, but once you get used to it, it's really fine. The washing machine and dryer did seem to have minds of their own... we couldn't quite figure them out!

The location was PERFECT. We parked in a nearby garage but did not use our car once. We walked the entire weekend, which was great - the apartment is within walking distance to all of the historic sites you would wish to see, as well as the Reading Terminal Market, and some great antique shops. A beautiful apartment with a very friendly and flexible host!
