Come stay with us in our cozy urban homestead. Our animals will be excited you're here and our home will warm up your soul. Even step outside and feed our chickens if you wish! We're outgoing and love hosting people. Looking forward to having you!
We have a nicely furnished guest bedroom available for rent in the highly sought-after neighborhood of North Park in San Diego. Although listed as a private room, you as our guest(s) will have access to all of the house amenities to share with us during your stay. This includes a full kitchen, laundry, fireplace, bathroom, high-speed wireless internet, coffee bar/espresso machine, barbecue, outdoor hammock and more. We will provide Continental Breakfast (toast/bagel/pastry, juice, coffee/tea) if you like. The one shared bathroom is minimal but fully functional. The brand new guest bed, bedding, and sheets are all top-quality and very comfortable. You will sleep quietly and comfortably!
We are located only one block from public transit where you can quickly access all parts of the city, only two blocks from the heart of North Park filled with great restaurants and bars and a short walk to Hillcrest where you can find more of the best nightlife in the city. Right down the street is Balboa park where you can find lots of fun activities such as the San Diego Zoo, golf, museums, picnic areas, and a lot more. By car, downtown Gaslamp District and Little Italy are only 10 minutes away for a cheap cab ride. A mile south is the eclectic neighborhood of South Park. There you will find all kinds of fun shopping and can do some local beer tasting at the Stone Brewery company store. Borrow our bikes and ride there for the afternoon!
We're a young, newly-wed couple and fairly new to San Diego. With both of us being world travelers, we enjoy meeting new people from all cultures. Our ideal guest is someone who is personable and out-going, and will respect our property while we enjoy it together. We like to cook good food, sit by the fire with a glass of wine, and exchange stories and culture with people. We will try our best to make you happy, and we'd love it if you could help us do that!
Our cat, Kanji, will greet you at the door, but it will take a friendly petting session to become friends. He's hypo-allergenic and we haven't met anyone yet who is allergic. Our dog Jasper is a very friendly and smart Aussie shepherd mix. He would love you to pet him! We recently welcomed a new member to our 'animal kingdom' - Luna. She is a sweet, shy siamese lynx. Staying here will give you a sense of "home" which we know is a nice feeling after long days of travel. Ask us to light up a fire to stay cozy and we welcome your stay!
**NOTE: We recently added a private back cottage and is now available! Please check it out as it may be even a better fit for you.
Please treat our house with respect and help us keep it clean. Depending on the night, we may be willing to stay up and have a few cocktails and make noise, but we won't be able to do that on a night before we work the next morning. We DO provide Continental Breakfast (toast/bagel/pastry, juice, coffee/tea) if you like! Please provide your own food for other meals or help us compensate for anything that we provide. Also, if you want quiet or to keep to yourself that is also perfectly OK!
The Granada house is absolutely gorgeous! Its spotless and we had a fan to stay cool which was perfect! We hadnt had the chance to meet Kyle and Paige but they were available via messages if (website hidden) (their roommate) and Claudia (a friend of theirs visiting) are super nice and helpful! Last but not least: Kanji, Nuna and Jasper (their cats and dog) are absolutely adorable! They made me wanna stay in and hang out with them rather than going out! :p thanks for everything guys! :)
Had a wonderful stay, would highly recommend them. Very friendly, accommodating and easy going couple. No pressure as to when we should come and go. (And we were doing so at odd hours) The room was large enough for two, with a nice clean comfortable bed. Their pets were lovely and well behaved. Conveniently right around the corner from shops, restaurants, and a bus stop.
My husband and I stayed here for a night on our road trip and it was great! Cute decor, comfy bed, and kind hosts. We weren't there much time so we didn't get to be with Kyle or Paige much, but they were really accommodating for the time we were there.
Everything about Kyle & Paige's house was so comfortable. From the bed, to the pets, to the hosts themselves. This was our first time renting a room versus an entire place and it could not have been easier. Kyle & Paige were accommodating and helpful and their home as exactly as pictured. We would definitely recommend them to anyone in the area. Their house was located in a fun area, easy to bike to restaurants, bars, and fun shopping; we even biked to the zoo. Their home made our vacation so wonderful!
Safe neighborhood and a block away from North Park (strip full of restaurants and bars) and a few blocks away from Balboa Park, SD Zoo and all that. Location is great. They have these adorable hens which woke me up in the morning; a natural sound I haven't heard in ages. Bathroom and bedroom were clean. Kyle was very friendly as well as Jasper, their dog.
Kyle and Paige's house was amazing, cozy, clean, comfortable and inviting. The photos are completely accurate, and the house was exactly as I expected it when I arrived. The space is warmly decorated with a very cool/funky retro shabby chic decor.
Our hosts were awesome. They were completely accommodating to my hectic travel schedule and they were very generous, warm and inviting with me and my girlfriend. We didn't have much time to hang around the house, but Kyle and Paige were always available with anything we needed during our stay. They both seem like very cool people and I will definitely consider hitting them up again next time I visit San Diego.

We're active, outgoing, like people, arts, wine, animals, movies, sports, outdoor activities, traveling.
My wife and I have been to over 50 countries between the two of us and can't stop finding reason to travel more! We enjoy all kinds of people and are very open to getting to know people from all backgrounds. We like to party, but we also like to stay in and relax. Especially, we like to meet new people from other cultures/backgrounds. We're always willing to share our home with people who respect it!
International lifestyle: Paige grew up in Saudi Arabia and also lived in England for a short time. She's been all over Africa, Europe, and parts of South America. Paige also lived in New Zealand and traveled to Australia, Fiji, and Trinidad. Kyle is from a small town in Oregon and during college Kyle backpacked through western Europe, studied abroad in Argentina, then continued to live in Costa Rica for a while, then backpacked again through Central America. After Paige and Kyle got together and graduated college from Pacific Lutheran University near Seattle, Washington they headed off to teach English in Korea for a couple of years and backpacked all through Asia during that time. Safe to say they like to travel!
Come hang out with us in our cute craftsman style house or stay in it yourself while we're out traveling ourselves..
