Beautiful apartment located in Bed-Stuy bordering Clinton Hill and Crown Heights. Close to public transportation and amenities.
The apartment is the 3rd and top floor of a lovely brownstone (built in 1899). The living room is bright and comfortable.
A modest room with a full bed is available - it has a closet, desk and a window with lots of daylight.
The bathroom is large and can be accessed from the master bedroom or the hallway.
The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove/oven and plenty of dishes/cookware.
Linens and towels provided.
A very friendly orange tabby cat named Wiley resides in this apartment and is an added comfort to your NY trip!
There is WIFI and a large flatscreen in the living room with a Roku box (Hulu+ and Netflix) and DVD player.
The [C] Local train at Franklin is one block away as is the [S] train - which is a convenient and quick ride to Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Botanical Garden and Prospect Park. Two blocks away, you have the [A] Express train - a speedy ride to Manhattan's west side.
Travel to and from JFK is easy and fast - simply take the AirTrain ($5) to Howard Beach then the [A] subway line ($2.25) towards Manhattan and you'll arrive here in less than one hour!

It's a beautiful decorated, comfortable and spacious apartment located just beside a subway station. You can get to Manhattan in less than 30 minutes, which I found very good.
I had a short stay there, but it really felt like home for me. As an old apartment, it has lots of space and very interesting architecture, but also has its minor issues - such an unstable heating system that may overheat sometimes, but honestly, just open the windows a little and that's not a problem.
It's equiped with most of the household items one may need, as well as a wide option of things to watch on TV and interesting books to take a look!
I already miss being there!
Deidre's apartment is amazing! Lots of space and natural light. The tree lined street is lovely and getting to Manhattan is super easy. Prospect Park is at walking distance and so are many cafés, restaurants and shops. Definitely recommended!
I had a blast staying with Deidre! She was so sweet and her apartment was the perfect oasis to come home to at the end of a long day. Her cat was awesome and very chill as well. I hope to stay here again on my next trip to NY.
Lived here for 3.5 months this Spring, and had a great time in this apartment. The room is pretty small but the bed is giant, and the closet space is definitely big enough. Overall never felt crowded in the space. The living room and kitchen are great, Deidre does an awesome job of keeping the place clean and cozy. The apartment is literally around the corner from the C train, which brings you in really quickly to downtown Brooklyn, and is still really easy to get to the city. The neighborhood was super lively and everything is close by, but be ready for some cultural (website hidden). There's a cat who will change your life/ your idea of cats!
I had a great stay in Deidres apartment! I rented the whole apartment to myself, and it is a nice, bright, big, clean apartment with a lot of charm. The communication with Deidre couldn`t have gone easier!! Always a quick respond . She even had some food for me in the kitchen when I arrived since I arrived late in the evening. I took care of her cat , Wiley (we agreed this in advance), and the cat is adorable , easygoing and sweet. The apartment is just one block from the subway, Franklin stop c train and a couple of blocks from the express a train so it was really easy getting into Manhattan. I would love to stay here again!!!
