This beautiful two-bedroom, one-bath apartment is situated on a quiet cul-de-sac, yet is still walking distance to the shops and restaurants of Haiku town. Conveniently located, it's only seven minutes to world-renowned Ho’okipa Beach Park, ten minutes to Paia or Makawao, ten minutes to Twin Falls.
The apartment has tiled floors throughout, and an open kitchen/living-room with butcher-block center counter. It’s the downstairs apartment in a larger home, with a separate entrance. Beds include a king-size in one room; a single/twin in the second; and the option to use the double futon couch in the living room.
Enjoy the property’s avocados and over ten varieties of fruit (incl. orange, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, starfruit, papaya, etc.), as well as fresh organic eggs from the four friendly chickens. Includes access to washer/dryer and wifi.
Rate is for three (3) people with five-day minimum, and includes tax. Extra rate applies after third person.
Trash and recyclables should be separated and bagged. Quiet time 9PM-7AM. Home must be returned in same condition as upon arrival. We have a good amount of snorkel gear, surf boards, boogie boards, etc that we're happy to lend out - as long as they're returned in good working order.
Our hosts were gracious and respectful. We had everything we needed to really enjoy our week in Hai'ku. It was perfect for us! Again and again, we said to each other how much we lucked out in finding this place.
We plan to share Stefan and Chenta's AirBnB contact information with all our friends and family who might like to visit Maui.
We really had a good time in Maui. We were glad that we rented this place. It was good to wake up every morning and stare at the green backyard and interact with the hen. She was very friendly. Good way to start the day. We liked it better staying here than at a hotel. Stefan and Chenta pointed us to the local eateries and the good beaches nearby, were very responsive to a couple of things that we needed. We would stay here again.
Everything was as described and expected. We had a great time! They are nice hosts.
If you are like me and like your vacations to feel like a second home, this is it. We had an absolutely amazing time staying here. The accommodations were perfect for our needs. Stefan and Chenta were fantastic hosts, made sure we were well accommodated, and were always willing to give a recommendation. Our kids loved the chickens and cats and ran around the backyard with them for hours. Haiku really is a perfect launching point to any where on the island, as well as a fantastic little village to relax for a while. It was a really sad time closing that for for the last time. Thank you, Stefan and Chenta.
Stefan and Chenta are friendly and easygoing and were available but laidback which is what we were looking for. There were gorgeous tuberoses upon arrival that filled the apt w its fragrance everyday. The unit is true to pics- clean, lovely, and roomy. Great art in unit. There is a great kitchen, a friendly chicken, and fresh breezes galore. I don't think we were in the right season to take advantage of all the fruit trees in yard. Haiku is a beautiful spot and conveniences are located nearby incl super and restaurants. It is so close to Paia and other hot spots but feels a world away. We looked fwd to the views (whales!) on drive each day. Highly recommended.
We enjoyed our stay immensely. The apartment was spacious and well appointed. Stefan and Chenta were kind and always available but gave us plenty of privacy. The location on the island was great and allowed us to explore all that the island has to offer without too much time in the car. It's not a high dollar resort but it was very comfortable and all we were really looking for. Very happy with the stay and the value.
We've made Maui our home for almost six years. Chenta was raised on Oahu, and her mother had lived here for many years. Before relocating to Maui we lived in Brooklyn for 15 years. We continue to have a home, family and work there. We've traveled and lived abroad extensively and have many international friends.
Chenta is a visual artist and teacher. Stefan is a writer and filmmaker. We love to camp, hike, surf, have meals on the beach, work in our garden, read, watch films, etc. We also love to meet - and have our children meet - people from all walks of life and from all over the world.
