An amazing Brownstone house built in the early 1900's is a comfortable, quiet, beautifully detailed oasis in Brooklyn! A mix of history and modernity with space to relax after a day in the city. :)

The space

Greetings!!!! "Welcome and enjoy your stay in the Parlor floor's Garden Room!" There's plenty of space for a single, couple/family, or friends traveling together for a few nights, week(s), or month(s). The room is beautiful and very large, so much so that if often feels like your own apartment within the apartment! :) We're nicely located as we're close to public transit, and only minutes to all attractions in Manhattan as well as Upstate and Long Island transits! When you arrive here, you'll be in the heart of the very popular and historic tree lined Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn! Whether you're in the city for a work related project or are on personal holiday, you can feel like you'll be able to come home to relax after a day in and around New York City. Make use of the private back yard garden (seasonal), enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the home, high speed internet, street parking, restaurants, cafes, coffee houses, pubs, wine bars, and boutiques that enhance our neighborhood feel. Your stay is certain to be in a calm and sane environment and you'll receive the benefits of experiencing two floors in a mature Brownstone Home complete with prewar details and a warm set of potential friends (our neighbors and housemates), a dog and a cat (must be an animal lover!), fresh flowers in your room, and sometimes (if you wish) an organic light breakfast or shared dinner! Looking forward to meeting you!

Guest access

Guests will have access to the back yard and lower duplex amenities which is beautiful in summer and into the winter and an amazing cultural experience that is our neighborhood of Bedstuy! :)

Both Hayley and her roommate made me feel right at home! Hayley was there for everything I needed and the bathroom was always clean and sparkling. I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to stay in BedStuy. Plus, her pets are the sweetest!!

I really enjoyed the stay with Hayley. She was very nice and I could always ask for help. The pets were also very friendly and I loved my large room. A and C train to Manhattan just a few streets away! Deli stores were on every corner and I love the beautiful brownstone buildings over there. Thank you!

The room was great (very big). Hayley was very welcoming. Great location close to the subway and a large grocery store.

Hayley is a wonderful host! She will take care of everything you ask for. The room is big with two windows facing the garden. The shared spaces are always tidy, not super clean because there are pets around. The cat and the dog are pretty laid back after getting to know them. For me, it was a nice expierience living in Bed-Stuy, although there are certainly more exciting neighborhoods in New York City. Overall, a reasonably priced room, which is worth its money, nice house mates, and a quiet place to rest from the city.

I couldn't have imagined a better place to stay whilst visiting New York - a serene and cosy hideaway nearby all the action going on in this megacity. Hayley was a super friendly, warm host who made me feel very welcome and at ease whilst sharing her space. The flat is just awesome - high ceilings, stucco decoration, wooden floor. And the room, located to the quiet inner courtyard, was clean, light and spacious including ample storage space. But to feel really comfortable you should be used to big dogs and their temperament. Unfortunately, I was not; which I regret for with my unease with Jasmine I have caused Hayley some inconvenience.

This place is great! The room is spacious and has light pouring into it. The house smells wonderful at all times, and it feels comfortably quaint. It is easy to adjust to the house, the housemates, and the neighborhood. Hayley is a wonderful host. She is a delight to interact with, but respects your space. She is top-notch!

Greetings! I look forward to hosting you in our Historic Brownstone Duplex! Our home is really a different experience because it feels open and spacious, and as I like to call it, more like an "urban oasis." I'm the property manager, your hostess, and I live on site. With years in hospitality, I do have a sense for what makes comfort and I love to see others feeling relaxed and happy.

As a tidbit about myself, I'm also a visual artist. My work has it's roots in drawing, painting, and mixed media. That being said, I love all things creative but also have a love for organic cuisine, wine, natural health/wellness, and animals. (We live with a beautifully sweet larger dog and cat!) Some things I really appreciate are mutual respect in honesty, maturity, quiet ambiance, cleanliness, and of course, learning through laughter! Operating within the "Golden Rule," people often describe me as a generously gracious and a genuinely kindred spirit who understands that kindness is not a weakness.

I do look forward to hopefully meeting you and Bon Voyage!
