Super cool open feel apartment in the Lower East Side. The apartment is east of all the action but walking distance to be in it all. Roof top access is great for a drink after a day of touring around.
CHECK OUT THE GUIDE BOOK FOR AWESOME STUFF TO DO AND SEE IN THE HOOD.
Please check out my other listing in Williamsburg Brooklyn too!
A new bright and sunny fully furnished East Village apartment. True one bedroom. FULL AND SEPARATE KITCHEN. The apartment is large and spacious. One bedroom, one living room, large separate kitchen and large bathroom with full tub.
It features a large queen size pillow top therapeutic bed, full kitchen with appliances, coffee maker etc, spotless bathroom. All new clean linens. I provide new sheets and towels for you to use. WIFI internet access. 32 inch TV and dvd.
Fresh paint on the inside just last year. The interior of the apartment is modern and spotless. Non-smokers and pet free environment. I am a total neat freak and there isn't any soot or dust that you'd find elsewhere. The apartment is spacious and has tons of natural light. No clutter. All of the furniture and appliances are brand new.
The apartment has an elevator, roof top, and backyard, with access to all. The roof top is perfect for dinners or just checking out the view. It's located a great area, steps away from the best bars and restaurants and galleries in lower Manhattan. There are two public parks and a school on my block so it's SAFE and not congested. You can ride bikes and store them in the backyard. You can visit the parks to have a picnic or check out the only tree house in the Lower East Side.
Very convenient location--you can get to Midtown in less than 20 minutes. The F train, and 4,5,6 trains are all nearby. The best part about this apartment is the building is new-only 9 years old. The hallways and elevator are well lit, clean and brand new. My neighbors are all working professionals so the building is quiet.
You will have everything that you need to have a great vacation/stay in NYC.
I will not be at the apartment during your stay. You will have the whole place to yourself. I live in Brooklyn and will be just a text or call away from helping you or giving you great advice.
The LES is known for its food and cafes and nightlife....overall its bohemian feel. Some areas of the LES are gentrified and some are not. You have old and young buildings next to each other. There are poor and rich, old and new, latino, white, black, asian and other all living in the same area. It's NYC and it's a big mix of everything. There are tons of young people. Overall I can say that the neighborhood still has a very NYC city charm to it a little grit and it’s gentrifying rapidly. You can find amazing food all all over.
My block is quiet but just steps away is some of the best nightlife in NY, plus there’s the subway so you can get to everywhere in less than 30 minutes.
This is the lower east side so it's jam packed with art and music venues. Chelsea has the best art galleries and you can walk or take the subway there. Brooklyn is great for art and music. You can take the L train and be there in minutes
The F train is on 1st ave and 1st street, a healthy 10 minute walk from the apartment. The 4,5,6 train is 15 minutes away walking through Thompson Square Park. There is a bus on Ave D that can take you the major Union Sq hub in 10 minutes. It's literally right outside of the apartment. With the subway you can be anywhere in NYC or Brooklyn in 20 minutes total.
OPTION 1 TAXI--$65 to the door of the apartment. 35-40 minutes total. The yellow city taxis are waiting for you outside of JFK when you land. There is a flat fee of $65 to get to the East Village.
OPTION 2 SUBWAY--$2.50 for a metro card+ $5.00 for the airtram . About 1.5-2 hours total. Take the Jamaica Station airtram to the E train. Get on a Manhattan bound E train. Take the E train about 45 minutes until you get to West 4th Street. At West 4th Street transfer to a Downtown and Brooklyn F train. Take the F train 2 stops to 2nd Ave. Exit at 1st Ave. Walk for 1st Ave and 1st street to 4th Street and Ave C, about 10 minutes.
There are many steps at the subway station, which might not be the best if you have a lot of luggage.
The oven is electric. You do not need to light it to turn it on. Please turn it to the temperature you want (350 is a good cooking temperature), and wait 10 minutes for the over to ignite itself and heat up.
Please take out the garbage and recycling every day. There is a garbage shoot and a recycling closet.
There is no laundry in the building. The closest self serve or drop off laundry service is on 4th Street and Ave B called Quick Coin.
Riding bikes in NYC is a great way to cover a lot of ground work and to actually experience the city while doing it. There is a bike rental place on my block called bikes by George. Check it out on the web. I'm sure you can rent or buy an inexpensive bike. There's also Franks bike shop on grand which is walking distance and may have more of a selection. I have a back yard and many of my neighbors store the bikes there, which is awesome because you don't have to leave it on the street or bring it inside the apt! So that's pretty great.
Me and my girlfriend stayed for a Week. Everything was Excellent. The apartment is comfortable, very clean and tidy. Although we had freezing days, the apartment was always warm and cozy. Nicole responded very quickly to every question we had, she was really nice with us. We couldnt ask for more, it was perfect.
Perfect location to base our New York visit from! So close to 3 x different train lines (leisurely . Loved being able to have a bath after a day of walking the city :) Thanks again Nicole!
Nicole was great, place was great- only hiccup was that the cleaning lady was 45 minutes late coming to let us in. To be fair, we said we would probably be by later in the day than we came but still showed within the range Nicole said the lady would be there.
In the end, delays happen; no problem. The place was as advertised and Nicole was easy to deal with, so that's the real thing that matters.
Spacious, light and clean apartment (working wifi!) in modern building. Getting the keys was easily arranged, had a good stay. Just realize the subway is not next door, but (in my case I needed the 4,5,6 lines at Astor place) brisk 15 min walk - other lines like the F line are cliser by.
My boyfriend and I loved staying at Nicole's place.
We had some freezing days in the New York winter with snow storms and rediculos tempetures, and yet felt perfectly at home in the apartment. It is warm, cozy yet very large and very inviting.
It's perfect to stay as a couple and also as an individual. After a week my boyfriend left and I stayed for a few more days and felt absolutly like a queen.
We loved the neighborhood wich is very very cool, with great restaurants and cool places. The supermarket is right there and you also have banks, pharmecies and a lot of great delis.
Soho and Union Square (where I went to school) are walking distance wich makes everything so comfortable and aprochable.
The view from the roof is spectacular!!!!!!!
We didn't see Nicole at all but she was wonderful. Check in was easy, she also left us some clean linen at the door after a few days and she let me check out really late before my night flight. She was very easy to communicate with at all times!
Nicole was seriously fantastic! She was super prompt about returning emails/texts prior to and during my stay with questions, provided AWESOME recommendations in and outside the East Village area for us to check out and made herself available for any questions during our stay. The place was so clean and spotless and is a great, great location close to so much nightlife, great food, and a close scoot over to Brooklyn!
We have spent 2 days in Nicole's apartment. The apartment was very clean and ready for us to arrive. Nicole was very easy to reach and quick to answer, we met her a brief moment and she seemed very nice. The nearest metro is 10 minutes away which seemed a long way with the freezing cold at that moment! but I highly recommend it ;)
The apartment is very nice, the location is good, this is a residential neighborhood 5 blocks from the subway station which connect you to NYC. Nevertheless we didn't see Nicole face to face, she was always there for any question or recommendation. We had a nice experience in NYC. Thank you!
My husband and I stayed at Nicole's place and it has been the easiest process. Never got a chance to meet her, but she has been very easy to contact if I have any questions. Her place is one of the cleanest place I have seen. I will definitely book her place again.
We stayed at Nicole's apartment for 10 days and everything went smoothly! Nicole was very accommodating in relation to our early check in and was helpful with any of our enquiries. The apartment is clean and tidy. We also found the list of suggested restaurants very useful. It can be a bit noisy outside in the mornings however, not a major problem. Unfortunately, we were not able to access the rooftop but this was possibly due to the snow. The apartment is in walking distance to subways, restaurants, shops and bars. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and would highly recommend this place!
