Super cool open feel apartment in the Lower East Side. The apartment is east of all the action but walking distance to be in it all. Roof top access is great for a drink after a day of touring around.

The Space

CHECK OUT THE GUIDE BOOK FOR AWESOME STUFF TO DO AND SEE IN THE HOOD.

Please check out my other listing in Williamsburg Brooklyn too!

A new bright and sunny fully furnished East Village apartment. True one bedroom. FULL AND SEPARATE KITCHEN. The apartment is large and spacious. One bedroom, one living room, large separate kitchen and large bathroom with full tub.

It features a large queen size pillow top therapeutic bed, full kitchen with appliances, coffee maker etc, spotless bathroom. All new clean linens. I provide new sheets and towels for you to use. WIFI internet access. 32 inch TV and dvd.

Fresh paint on the inside just last year. The interior of the apartment is modern and spotless. Non-smokers and pet free environment. I am a total neat freak and there isn't any soot or dust that you'd find elsewhere. The apartment is spacious and has tons of natural light. No clutter. All of the furniture and appliances are brand new.

Guest Access

The apartment has an elevator, roof top, and backyard, with access to all. The roof top is perfect for dinners or just checking out the view. It's located a great area, steps away from the best bars and restaurants and galleries in lower Manhattan. There are two public parks and a school on my block so it's SAFE and not congested. You can ride bikes and store them in the backyard. You can visit the parks to have a picnic or check out the only tree house in the Lower East Side.

Very convenient location--you can get to Midtown in less than 20 minutes. The F train, and 4,5,6 trains are all nearby. The best part about this apartment is the building is new-only 9 years old. The hallways and elevator are well lit, clean and brand new. My neighbors are all working professionals so the building is quiet.

You will have everything that you need to have a great vacation/stay in NYC.

Interaction with Guests

I will not be at the apartment during your stay. You will have the whole place to yourself. I live in Brooklyn and will be just a text or call away from helping you or giving you great advice.

The Neighborhood

The LES is known for its food and cafes and nightlife....overall its bohemian feel. Some areas of the LES are gentrified and some are not. You have old and young buildings next to each other. There are poor and rich, old and new, latino, white, black, asian and other all living in the same area. It's NYC and it's a big mix of everything. There are tons of young people. Overall I can say that the neighborhood still has a very NYC city charm to it a little grit and it’s gentrifying rapidly. You can find amazing food all all over.

My block is quiet but just steps away is some of the best nightlife in NY, plus there’s the subway so you can get to everywhere in less than 30 minutes.
This is the lower east side so it's jam packed with art and music venues. Chelsea has the best art galleries and you can walk or take the subway there. Brooklyn is great for art and music. You can take the L train and be there in minutes

Getting around

The F train is on 1st ave and 1st street, a healthy 10 minute walk from the apartment. The 4,5,6 train is 15 minutes away walking through Thompson Square Park. There is a bus on Ave D that can take you the major Union Sq hub in 10 minutes. It's literally right outside of the apartment. With the subway you can be anywhere in NYC or Brooklyn in 20 minutes total.

From JFK--

OPTION 1 TAXI--$65 to the door of the apartment. 35-40 minutes total. The yellow city taxis are waiting for you outside of JFK when you land. There is a flat fee of $65 to get to the East Village.

OPTION 2 SUBWAY--$2.50 for a metro card+ $5.00 for the airtram . About 1.5-2 hours total. Take the Jamaica Station airtram to the E train. Get on a Manhattan bound E train. Take the E train about 45 minutes until you get to West 4th Street. At West 4th Street transfer to a Downtown and Brooklyn F train. Take the F train 2 stops to 2nd Ave. Exit at 1st Ave. Walk for 1st Ave and 1st street to 4th Street and Ave C, about 10 minutes.
There are many steps at the subway station, which might not be the best if you have a lot of luggage.

Other Things to Note

The oven is electric. You do not need to light it to turn it on. Please turn it to the temperature you want (350 (email hidden) temperature), and wait 10 minutes for the over to ignite itself and heat up.

Please take out the garbage and recycling every day. There is a garbage shoot and a recycling closet.

There is no laundry in the building. The closest self serve or drop off laundry service is on 4th Street and Ave B called Quick Coin.

Riding bikes in NYC is a great way to cover a lot of ground work and to actually experience the city while doing it. There is a bike rental place on my block called bikes by George. Check it out on the web. I'm sure you can rent or buy an inexpensive bike. There's also Franks bike shop on grand which is walking distance and may have more of a selection. I have a back yard and many of my neighbors store the bikes there, which is awesome because you don't have to leave it on the street or bring it inside the apt! So that's pretty great.

  • We had a wonderful time. The accomadation was just as portrayed. Clean, bright and spacious. Great to have a lift to lug our luggage up and down. Fun neighborhood with lots of bars and restaurants. Nicole was a great host. We would love to stay again if we return to New york

  • Nicole was great throuhgout the process. Although we never had the chance to meet, she was in constant contact, giving us recommendations of places to see, things to do, places to eat, etc. Any questions, we sent her an email or a text and she responded immediately. The apartment met all of our expectations, and there is a great view from the roof. The neighbourhood is very diverse and quite interesting, but the apartment is quite a way from the nearest subway stations. It is a 20 minute walk to the nearest station, and when it is hot an humid out this can be a challenge. There is a bus stop about 100 m away, if you don't mind a longer commute to Union Square. I recommend the place however, as Nicole and all the other merits trump the transit issues. My wife and I will definitely stay here again on our next trip to NYC.

  • Our experience at Nicole's apartment was fantastic. Her place is just as chic and clean as it appears in the photos, and we loved the East Village location. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat - thanks, Nicole!

  • Everything was just like Nicole said to us, her apartment is bright and it's location on the East Village is perfect to be near a lot of places to go walk, Chinatown, Soho, Little Italy and so on.
The apartment was perfect for us to stay and Nicole is such a great host! She recommend us a lot of places we went and were just perfect, so please if you are thinking in visit NY, this is a beautiful place to choose!

  • Nicole was super helpful and friendly in answering all our questions prior to our holiday. The apartment was in a lovely quieter neighbourhood but great for walking everywhere (we are keen walkers) Loved having a bathtub and also such a comfortable bed after a busy day. Was much quieter at night than we expected so easy to have a good sleep. The system for collecting the keys was simple . Nicole is a lovely host and we totally recommend staying in her apartment- it feels like your own little home for the duration of your stay.

  • Really cool spot in a great part of the city. Rich with culture and very accessible to amazing bars/restaurants/shops.

  • Great apartment !!

  • Nicole was a great host and the apartment was immaculate. Very NYC and although it's not in what many would call Position A (you have to walk a whole 5-10 minutes to get to a subway station, shock horror!) in my opinion it's much better to stay in a location like this, as you get to experience NYC like a local. There are some great local bars and restaurants to explore and it's really not far from anything you need. Highly recommend.

About
Hi! My name is Nicole. Thanks for checking out my apartment. Here's a little about me... I like to travel to places that are warm and sunny. I love Korean food. I am a decent surfer. I visit my family in Arizona as much as possible. I've lived in NYC for the past 12 years so I know this city really well. I really love living here. I have an awesome, very sunny, clean and spacious one bedroom apartment in the Lower East Side. The apartment is available for lengthy amounts of time. I currently live in Brooklyn, so I'm usually around during your stay to help with any questions. When I travel, I look for places that are not ultra-touristy. I want to experience the restaurants and bars that the locals know and love. I'm hoping that you seek the same. I can recommend some really cool places and things to see/eat/do in NYC if you'd like. I've had some amazing people from all over the world stay at my place and look forward to hosting you. See you soon in NYC!
