Remodeled Aug 2012, Designer Decor, Ocean Front Condo in Ilikai Marina 10th floor. Largest condo in the building, a REAL one Bedroom with solid wall offering 2 lanai's, 850 SF of luxury. City and Mountain Views. 2 Flat Screen TV's with surround sound, Kitchen and bath with Granite counter tops and stainless appliances to prepare those gourmet meals or just pour a lovely cocktail to relax and enjoy. With an in suite washer and dryer huge bonus and savings.
This was a great room! It felt very spacious and it was well kept. The kitchen was great as was the living room and the bed was comfy. We like having access to beach gear and beach towels. We did not get a chance to try out the pool in the hotel next door so I can't comment on that. We also didn't make it to the Modern Hotel next door to check out its amenities so I cannot comment on that either. Overall it was a great experience. It was a 20 - 30 minute walk from the MAIN waikiki beach however. The bed frame and bathtub could use a little updating but the rest of the decor was great. There are no ocean views which we knew already and that's a bummer. But that's kind of what you'll get most anywhere in Waikiki hotels. Rosy, the person who cleaned up was super nice and friendly and very helpful.

First of all. I have been working, living, traveling in Hawaii islands since 2002. I have traveled to Honolulu every year since 2009 and stayed in different scales of hotels, resorts and rentals. This was my first time using Airnbn in Honolulu. I have to say to all the potential future users; User be aware! Overall my experience at Ilikai Condo: Grade: C, at most. First: Parking issues. I did careful search of the condos in Waikiki area since I know the neighbor hood very well. THE first question I posted to the owner was: do you have in house parking, is it free? Her replay was, for the condo guest, parking would be $10 per day, for me, $130 since I would stay for 13 days. I replied, Great, I will complete my application process! I have asked several English major students and teachers was my word " Great" means Yes, everyone of them said Great did mean Yes in the contest and even mean double yes sometimes. So, I booked the condo... I stayed in another hotel one week before I would checked in to the condo. I contacted owner four day before my check in about parking pass, she told my the parking pass would be on the desk ready for me when I check in. But, a day later, suddenly the owner emailed me, she forgot about my parking pass, and pass was given to another guest. Further more she claimed that my reply "great" did not mean I wanted the the parking pass! I have to pay $20 per day for my stay. I hate to say this. I really don't care about $10 more a day for parking. I do care about the honesty of running a business. If she told me she forgot about my parking pass. At least admitted and be honest about it. It is my philosophy of running my own business. Second. Arrival, I arrived the condo to check if I need purchase any supply the condo lacks. The cleaning lady told me I can't even go in the room to check and told me what kind of supply it might have. I didn't think she really knew. I came back @ 3 PM, the room was not ready, was not even close. I waited for almost 30 minutes to finally checked in. Third, Condo. The description on the airbnb really glorifies the condo. For the future users, I mean not the people never been to Hawaii. You need to know what is important to you. If you need a room you can see any ocean, not this one; If you need up to current rooms and surroundings, not this one; If you want bring your family and kids, not this one; If you want comfortable beds, not this one; I own a FrontGate queen size air bed, the air lasts weeks, the one in the condo? Last 3 hours. Unless you want pump air @ 1Am. Don't use it....
Yonker Wang was not an easy breezy guest, our first issue prior to his arrival was he requested parking information, which I shared. Days before his arrival he recontacted me requesting the use of my parking pass, I shared with him that it had been reserved by another guest and was unavailable. Yonker never reserved or paid to use the parking pass but thought that his inquiry (Great) about parking was enough and since it was not available I should offer him a cash refund to off set his parking expense. Next... I provided very clear arrival instructions that guests are not allowed to access the condo until 3pm and at 1pm Yonker was at the door requesting entry, my cleaning crew is instructed to not allow guest in during the cleaning process, the condo was ready for his arrival at 3pm as scheduled. When my crew arrived to clean the condo on his departure day at 11am he informed them that he would leave in 45 minutes. My crew had to wait in the hallway for them to depart and had to call in an extra person because of the time restraints caused by Yonkers which cost's $35, I call requesting Yonker's pay $35 directly to the crew, which he refused to do. He told them he was staying longer because the condo wasn't ready when he arrived which was true it was not ready at 1pm but it was ready at 3pm. I have 8 luxury condo rentals ocean front in Waikiki and have very few guest issues but felt this one needed to be shared. Mahalo
We really enjoyed our stay at the condo. Very spacious and beautifully decorated. A home away from home. Very comfortable bed and pillows. The best sleep I've had in years. Good location. We loved taking the beach chairs which were in the condo down to sit by the lagoon or beach. The price was good value for money.

Thanks Janna, had a great holiday in Hawaii. Nice spacious apartment located in a very central location. All our communications were promptly answered by Janna. We had a couple of very minor issues that were quickly resolved by a phone call to Mia(Janna's assistant) Mia was a pleasure to deal with. We paid an extra $10 per day for the use of the residents car park as we hired a car for our duration in Hawaii. To see Hawaii, make sure you hire a car!! It is very easy to commute around the island & is a great drive.
The apartment is very well appointed and was very clean. There is a nice kitchen, 2x TV's & laundry. The bed is so comfortable. The apartment does not face the ocean, but is located right next to the marina and is a short walk to the Ala Moana Shopping Centre. There is also a great convenience store across the road.
Janna's condo is very nicely decorated and is in an ideal location close to the beach. The condo is fully equipped with everything you need. My wife and I especially appreciated the beach chairs,towels, and beach umbrella which we used almost everyday vs. having to rent these items at the beachfront for about $50/day!!! Janna provided thoughtful recommendations on where to eat and shop and tour the island. Upon entry we were impressed with the welcome Lei and Hawaiian cookie that was provided. We would be happy to be hosted by Janna anytime.
