Ground floor of a sweet little 1-bedroom Craftsman home on North Beacon Hill in a safe, family-friendly, walkable neighborhood just south of Seattle. Great views of downtown Seattle, the Olympic mountains and the Puget Sound. Easy local driving, biking or public transit to downtown (less than 2 miles away), stadiums, museums, parks, Pike Place Market, the waterfront and the convention center. Conveniently located 2.5 blocks from the Beacon Hill Link Lightrail Station connecting the Sea-Tac airport to downtown Seattle, and easy walking distance (within 2-3 blocks) to a Red Apple grocery store, library, restaurants, bars, hair salon and multiple businesses. Just 1.5 blocks to an overlook park with sweeping views of the city, mountains and Puget Sound. Short walk to beautiful Jefferson Park with its wonderful new playground, water park, golf course and community center. Easy access to the I-5, West Seattle, Boeing Airfield and Sea-Tac airport (20 minute drive or short ride on Lightrail). House is very bright and cheery with large leaded-glass fir windows. Cook in our newly remodeled kitchen and have a long soak in the clawfoot tub. Home has cable TV, wireless internet, stereo and Blu-ray DVD player. This small, clean, smoke-free house was our first happy family home which we lovingly renovated and restored until recently when we relocated to Europe for a job transfer. It is fully furnished and the kitchen is well-stocked with all our kitchen gadgets, espresso machine and appliances. The bedroom has 1 queen-size bed which sleeps 2 adults and all linens, pillows and mattress are brand new. If you are traveling with children please let us know; we have a toddler mattress, children's bedding, a highchair and toys to make little ones feel welcome stored in the attic and we will arrange for them to be brought down for your visit. The attic is used as storage space for our own belongings and is closed off from the ground floor of the house with a locked door, so the stairs are inaccessible. The house is set well back and is elevated from the street, and has a large front yard. Free street parking with guest pass available. We care about the friends and neighbors who live in our great neighborhood, and are happy to share our space with considerate and respectful guests. No smoking or pets. Our time zone (CET) is 9 hours ahead of Seattle but we will respond as quickly as possible to booking inquiries. Our neighbourhood businesses recently received a nice review in Seattle Magazine, and you might enjoy reading the Beacon Hill blog to learn more about our area.
**4/5/14 UPDATE**: We have learned that we are responsible to collect and pay to the State the 9.5% lodging tax from our guests in Washington. This is not collected by Airbnb. This will be charged via PayPal and collected upon arrival. Thank you.

lovely house！ and positive respond！Pretty nice neighborhood and near to several restaurant and grocery store！Candace is also pretty nice
We had a great time in Seattle. This had much to do with our accommodations. Candace's place was exactly as described and she was an excellent host. Although we didn't have the pleasure of meeting face to face. Communication as well as instructions for the home well all top notch. We plan to travel to Seattle again very soon and will be looking her up again :)
Cherry Seattle House is a cute little cottage with a fabulous kitchen. The Beacon Hill neighborhood is also very nice, quiet, easily accessible and with a market just down the street.
Candace's house was great for us (myself, husband and 1.5 yr daughter). She gave us detailed directions and information on parks, restaurants and things to do with our daughter prior to our stay. The location is close to downtown and easily accessible. The bathroom and kitchen were fully stocked with amenities as well. Knowing that we were travelling with our daughter, Candace left us a toddler mattress and toys. The house is comfy and cozy, perfect for one person, couple or family with 1 child.
Super cute, comfortable and clean house, with a well equipped and functional kitchen, nice bed and lovely bathroom with a claw foot tube and period bathroom.
House is perfect for 2, very private and a lovely getaway. Highly recommend it.
We stayed here for 4 nights. The location is close enough to down town Seattle without having to pay street parking fees. We found the house as we expected. All cooking essentials including oil, salt . . . etc available in the house. All in all, it is a great house in quiet residential area. Worked out flawlessly for us.
The was very cozy, and just right for the two of us. It is very conveniently located - minutes away from the grocery store and light rail station. Candace answered our questions quickly and was very helpful. We would definitely stay there again.
Hi there! I'm a Canadian healthcare provider and am married to Martin, an Austrian journalist who is currently working for Amazon. We love Seattle and our friendly, community-oriented neighbourhood of North Beacon Hill where this little house was our first family home. We enjoy travel, good food and music, gatherings with our friends and recently...kids. We've outgrown our cheery little house with the addition of two little ones and have recently moved to Luxembourg for Martin's new job and to be closer to his family. We hope you enjoy Seattle and the wonderful experiences it has to offer! Some of our favourites are: Silent-Movie Mondays at the Paramount, SIFF (Seattle International Film Festival), the Seattle Symphony, kayaking on Lake Union, mornings at the Market, ferry rides to the islands and and quick day-trips into the beautiful nature all around the Puget Sound.
