This is an area frequented by young people (25-30 YEARS) rather trendy.
Its bustling food shops, delicatessen. (Midnight you can buy your milk or your butter ...), a bakery down the building. its small restaurants, brasseries, sidewalk cafe, theaters, concert halls, canal Saint Martin near.
what I like about this neighborhood is that it can do everything on foot, and to have the choice.
-envie seafood, it goes on the grand boulevard 5-minute walk.
-envie drinking a glass of water bort, it goes on the St Martin canal, 7 minutes walk
-envie to do shopping, we go from the side of the Forum des Halles or large store, 10 minutes walk
-envie to drink a glass off the Champs Elysees, 30 minutes on foot or 15 minutes by bike
-envie going to the Louvre, 20 minutes on foot, 10 minutes by bus
For us who love French food and drink, this is a good area both for shopping and for the wide choice of restaurants, plus terraces for his coffee, and evening aperitif.

The neightbourhood was lively and quite close to the main attractions- there were quite a few supermarkets and pharmacies which was convinient. The maid has shown us around the apartment and was generally really nice so we felt welcome. The apartment was clean and ready for us even earlier than expected. All the cleaning and many cooking supplies were available - we mainly cooked and ate in the apartment for that reason which helped us save a lot of money. Perfect size for two people, but I feel as though it may be a little crowded for three. Felt safe with all the security provisions (eg code for door). Generally really pleased with this apartment and would like to thank Sabine!
Quartier multiethnique. Bon conseil de Sabine.
Sabine was a good host who tried her best to assist us after she was let down by her cleaning lady who was supposed to let us into the apartment. She assisted in getting us into the apartment and even got us a bottle of champagne to apologise for the inconvenience.
Nice apartment located very conveniently to local public transport and plenty of good places to eat and have a drink at night.
Sabine was very welcoming. Our flight was delayed and she was still very accommodating. The apartment was very clean and definitely big enough for myself and the 2 other university students I was traveling with.
The apartment is in a great location. The metro is maybe a 5 minute walk, if that, and we were able to plan our route to see all the major attractions in a day.
When I return to Paris I will definitely stay here again!
This place was very cute! It was perfect for 3 girls taking on Paris for the first time. It was close to the Metro and there were a lot of markets close by. Everything was clean and proper! One odd thing we found was that the toilet is right next to the stove and kitchen area, while the shower was in the bedroom. I'm sure this is just an old building and that is why the pipes are where they are. The apartment itself was FABULOUS. Only issues we had was that the hot water didn't last long enough for all 3 of us most times. Another issue we discussed was that the neighborhood is a bit on the sketchy side. But we noticed more and more nicer shops, restaurants, and markets were moving in the area, meaning that it has a lot of potential to improve soon! We really enjoyed our stay and hope others will too!
Sabine's apartment is great! It's very nice and clean and has plenty of space for 2 people. She was very good at communicating with us prior to our arrival and gave us all of the information we needed. The neighborhood the apartment is in was very interesting. There were some great cafes and bakeries nearby, but also some random strangers who liked to pop out of nowhere and scare us. They were harmless, but frightening all the same. The location is perfect for exploring, as it is right near a metro stop! We unfortunately did not have as much time in the apartment as we wanted. Our train broke down on our way to our check in and we missed our 2 pm deadline. Sabine made arrangements for us to check in on our own, which we understood due to the delay. However, do pay close attention to the check-in times specified on her page. We did not see when we booked that Sunday check in was limited to either checking in at 11:30 am or between 1:30-2pm, so we had to rearrange our day multiple times to accommodate that. We also experienced loud hammering and drilling noises from a neighboring apartment VERY early in the morning, but that was not Sabine's fault. Otherwise, things were great. Thanks, Sabine!
