"Adam has the most amazing apartment in the heart of Didsbury Village... The location is ideal... the bedroom is big and spacious with ensuite bathroom and shower. Adam is a perfect host."

We would love to to welcome you into our home!
We live in a great apartment in Didsbury Village, on the first floor of a building formerly known as the 'Clock Tower'. The apartment is made up of two bedrooms (both with ensuites), and one huge living space/kitchen - the apartment is usually flooded with light due to the 8 large bay windows in the main room, overlooking the Village.
Your bedroom is at the other end of the flat, and is completely soundproof, should you wish to retreat. Along with an newly renovated ensuite, there is a comfy double bed, and underfloor heating for you to enjoy. There is also an additional mattress for you to use, should you wish to stay with three people.
We also have wireless fibre-optic internet, free for you to use. It's very fast :)
Interaction with Guests
We are both musicians, so there is generally music of some description playing - the living room is equipped with some pretty great speakers, as well as a plethora of books, and two vintage red chesterfield couches on which to enjoy them.
When we are not playing music, chances are someone is probably cooking - we like to eat well, and you are welcome to join us for any meals that we get happening. Breakfast is included every day, and usually consists of sourdough toast, eggs, muesli with fruit and yoghurt, fresh baked goods, or porridge. Please let us know if you have any specific requests, or a preference for a particular type of milk - we will always do our best to accommodate these requests.
We are super close to a number of great galleries, bars, restaurants, and museums, including the Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester Art Gallery, and Manchester Museum.
In addition to this, we have loads of personal recommendations, so ask away and we will do our best to help you out! Soph and I are both freelance musicians, working with the BBC Phil, Hallé, and Royal Liverpool Phil amongst others, so we also have a pretty good handle on the music scene.
We are about 20 minutes out of the CBD, which means that the area is quiet, but close enough to commute easily should you want to see the sights. The 142 and 42 buses into town stop directly outside the apartment, so transport is a cinch. Didsbury Village Tram stop is just over the road, so that also opens up a gamut of travel options. We also have buses nearby that take you straight to the Trafford Centre, should you be in the mood for a monster shopping trip! Finally, there is a cab company just down the road that will take you to Manchester Airport for £12, and pick you up whenever is convenient. The trip takes about 15 mins.
Other Things to Note
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch. We look forward to welcoming you to Manchester, and our home!
1. No smoking anywhere in the flat.
2. No unexpected guests please! We love to have people over, but only those we have organised through the listing.
3. This is our home and we love it. Please treat it with the respect that you would show your own place!
4. Have a lovely time in Manchester :)
Arrived late on the Friday and met Adam & Sophie who were very friendly and told us all we needed to know with regard to staying in their apartment and the local area. Great location for what we were doing for the weekend. Everything good
A superb location in fashionable Didsbury. The flat is exactly as described. We were lucky on both mornings to enjoy the sun streaming in through the huge windows. Adam and Sophie are the perfect hosts, welcoming and delighted to share their knowledge of the local area. We would definitely return here. Thanks for having us.

No words can explain how sad it was for us to leave wonderful Didsbury and lovely Adam and Sophie! Intelligent, bright and simply brilliant people, best hosts ever. Although we spent there 3 days only and both of them were quite busy practising, we parted as good old friends.
Please, let the location (which might seem quite a distance from the city centre) do not confuse you. It is really comfortable to go by tram anywhere you want, and the village is such a snug place to live in. Some wonderful pubs across the road, trees, shops 5 minutes on foot etc.
The flat is great. There is your part with soundproof walls (really, they are) and ensuite where you can spend days and nights if you wish without anyone disturbing you, and there is a marvellous common area with stunning Kitchen (starts with the capital letter) and a lot to find. The heated floor is a very wise decision in winter:)
Thank you, Adam and Sophie❤️
Adam was amazing. He made me feel right at home, the house was spotless and the neighborhood is full of great bars and cafes. A+++++
Adam was absolutely fantastic, we had an amazing if too brief stay. He was a charming and welcoming host and made us feel right at home. This was our second stay with Adam (because the first was equally great) and we wanted to make sure we made time to have a chat this visit. His tips on music in Manchester and general assessments of orchestral shenanigans were useful and really funny.
We spent an evening discussing life as a musician and the music world; I was happy to have some burning questions about classical music answered - and we exchanged tips for top-notch gin distilleries in London.
After our stay with Adam my husband and I are definitely more committed to taking advantage of the music world in London! Thank you Adam!
We were arranging last minute accommodation for a last minute wedding and Adam was exceptionally helpful in us changing our plans and who was staying in the flat so much so that we wanted to invite him to the wedding! Our friends who stayed there thought the space was fantastic! I think it's fair to say that Adams home and the great experience is what air bnb is all about! Double thumbs up!
Adam was a great host! He responded to my request quickly and all the information provided was accurate and helpful.
The apartment is really accessible from Manchester Airport and Manchester City Centre. Didsbury is a really nice area in Manchester, there's plenty of restaurants and pubs/bars to choose from for a drink or food.
The apartment itself is bright, warm and clean, as is the bedroom. The bathroom is a good size and the shower is excellent.
Breakfast was perfect, with lots of choice. Eating breakfast to Adam's beautiful practising of the cello solo from Brahms' Second Piano Concerto was an additional special treat!
It was lovely meeting Adam and Sophie, and I highly recommend their place.
Don't think about it. Just book!

My name is Adam, and I am a cellist currently based in Manchester, UK.
Here are some of my favourite things, presented in list form for your reading pleasure:
- Meeting new people/being an airbnb host. (No, really. We love it!)
- Food and wine, and the odd spot of cooking
- Corpse Reviver No. 2's - (20ml each of gin, cointreau, lillet blanc, and lemon juice, shake with ice, garnish with a maraschino cherry)
- My aeropress
- The Schubert Quintet
- In Rainbows (Radiohead)
I used to play cello with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and run a chamber group called the Fitzroy Ensemble; for the last two years I have been freelancing in Manchester, playing with the Hallé Orchestra, Opera North, and RLPO (amongst other bits and bobs)...
Together with my girlfriend, Sophie, we live in a lovely apartment in Didsbury Village. Our place is big, filled with light, and there is generally music playing and something cooking. It's a good place.
