We had a great stay at the loft. Thomas is a lovely guy and a great pyramid guide too. Everyone we met was lovely and kind . Our son who is two had a fab time wandering about. The view from the terrace is awe inspiring and it was great to be able to walk from the pyramids entrance back to the loft. Loved our stay and will be back. Thanks Thomas
Thomas pyramid loft was super! I had a great time and am eternally grateful for Thomas. I left my wallet at the airport and arrived with no money. Thomas bailed me out until I could get ahold of my funds! On top of all that he took time away from his schedule to give me a personal tour of the pyramids - which was an experience of a life time. I will def be back to visit!
Thomas is really very helpful and very kind. He arranged for a airport pick up which was great because Cairo at night is very intimidating. His driver drove me to his place and walked me to his front door.
Thomas' place is right in front of the pyramids. It is clean and cozy with a great view from the balcony.
Thomas helped assist me on a few tours and helped me get the best exchange rate. I am very grateful to him as I feel he gave me the best Cairo experience I could have asked for.
Thomas followed through on having a driver pick me up and take me to the Cairo airport when I left. He is an excellent facilitator and guide. He led me on a fantastic tour of the pyramids!!! Once in a lifetime experience. He was concerned about my well being and even accompanied me to the store where I thought I had lost an item. He is a laid-back and charming host.
The pyramid loft room where I stayed was cozy and the bed was comfortable. He provided a heater for the room. The great thing about the house is that it is so close to the pyramids and the view from the balcony is spectacular. You can even see the sound and light show at night. He has some long-term tenants on the second floor and everyone was so nice and helpful.
I am from the United States and not used to seeing camels and horses in the road. The village is very dusty because it is on the edge of the desert. However, once I got used to the sounds and smells, I enjoyed the rustic experience.
I only stayed one day with Thomas, but that was enough to verify what every other reviewer had said about him. Thomas was amazing. He was very welcoming (even though I flew in at 3AM) and his tour of Old Cairo and the Citadel interspersed with commentary of Egyptian life was fascinating. I cannot recommend him enough!
I thought it would be cool to wake up each morning and see the Pyramids. And guess what? IT IS!
I got a great welcome at the Pyramids Loft with a nice group of people.
The room was tidy and comfortable and Thomas is very helpful in making sure you have everything you need to have a good trip.
Its the perfect place to pick your day to explore the Pyramids, and its pretty cheap to get a cab (once you know the correct prices!) anywhere else you want to go.
If you are going to Giza/ Cairo.. this is the place you want to stay for a legit experience!
I can honestly say Thomas embodies the spirit of Airbnb. Always accommodating and goes the extra mile for his guests! He took it on himself to organize tours without asking for anything in return and defended us against unfair prices. Whatever we needed Thomas had it covered. Simple but clean rooms with a view to die for. Staying here is a no-brainer if you want an introduction to Cairo and my stay here will always be a definitive memory of Egypt.
