Here we offer the best of both worlds, close proximity to all the wonderful services that Ubud offers, within a truly magical setting! We're handily situated a short distance from the heart of the village, hidden behind a high wall at the gateway to the village that offers no clue to the stunning property and rice fields that lie behind it.

We offer 2 accommodation options to select from, The Treehouse listed here, and the Villa listed at this location....
Groups can rent both together for the ultimate getaway.
The Treehouse at Satori:
Constructed carefully amongst a tall stand of trees sits The Treehouse.
The upstairs room is a Javanese teak house, boasting a generously proportioned day bed (can convert to full size single bed) TV/DVD, desk and charming stone bathroom. Glass doors slide back to the stunning view where you can relax in the outdoor furniture created from reclaimed wood from old fishing boats, and take in a vista that flows from a jungle frame to the rice field valley beyond.
Downstairs is the cosy air conditioned bedroom with queen-sized bed, Bose ipod dock sound system and a floor-to-ceiling glass wall inviting in the magical setting. Steps away is an indoor/outdoor kitchenette and an additional bathroom.
A path beside the Treehouse leads alongside our waterfall feature to a private outdoor sitting area. Also set here is a beautiful handmade wooden bathtub, a perfect spot to float with a glass of your favourite something and contemplate the ever-changing light on the rice field beyond.
The shared yoga/massage studio lies between The Treehouse and the neighbouring Villa. It's furnished with two quality massage tables, yoga mats, oil burner and a stereo system pre-loaded with relaxing sounds and music. Pick from our menu of talented massage therapists to visit for the perfect end to a memorable Bali day!

the house and location was fantastic and magical. Wish I had more time for the location. Outside tub overlooking paddy fields!
We had a lovely stay at Satori Treehouse. The view of the rice paddies that you wake up to every morning is hard to believe, considering how close to downtown Ubud you are. Our hosts were gracious with the widest smiles we have ever seen, and served us with great coffee, tea, muesli and toast to get us started each day. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this as a place to stay while visiting Ubud and the surrounding area.
We had a great time here. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the facilities were clean and in good condition and the view is just stunning. I definitely recommend this place to everyone!!
The Treehouse at Satori was absolutely amazing! The staff was always smiling and eager to help with any needs we had! The walk into town was only about 20 minutes but still tons of delicious restaurants nearby! Wayan the housekeeper recommended Kafe and it was so delicious my boyfriend and I ate there three times! Ubud itself is a beautiful place and the Treehouse is the best place to stay. Such a romantic getaway! With everything you need at your fingertips! Don't miss out on the outside bathtub overlooking the rice fields!
We don't know where to begin with this review - Mark's treehouse was absolutely incredible. The experience was phenomenal from start to finish. Mark arranged for a driver, Dewa, to pick us up and take us to the treehouse. Dewa was excellent and we hired him for another day to take us all over to see various cultural sites, temples, and the rice fields. The staff at Satori is amazing, everyone was so welcoming and helpful, and each morning we were served a delicious breakfast. The treehouse itself is stunning, it can't be captured in photos just how beautiful it is. We were awestruck at the entire villa, everything is very well kept and maintained and the view over the rice fields is breath taking. Mark was quick to reply to any inquiry we had, and his staff organized massages for us in the villa. We have nothing but praise for the Satori treehouse - we were very sad to leave and we will most definitely be back. Thanks again to Mark and the Satori team for everything!
Had a wonderful week at the treehouse. The upstairs living room/sleeping loft was a pleasant retreat from the bustling world outside. We would sit on the porch overlooking the rice paddies and read a book while the waterfall and chirping birds toned out most of the traffic noise from the street. The upstairs bathroom was also very nicely done with an open air shower. Wayan and Kadek were extremely accommodating, with Wayan even showing us how to make the small coconut leaf "baskets" that hold the daily offerings that you see all around. They also arranged for our driver, Dewa, who appeared at our doorstep with a smile on his face and never once got ruffled by the chaotic driving in the area.
Be aware that if you sleep in the loft, with the windows open, you will hear the traffic and, on some nights (like the full moon festival), the ceremonial chanting and drumming that can continue until 1 am.. On those nights, be prepared to either watch a dvd (provided in the room), join in the ceremony, or use earplugs to sleep.
Overall, a very pleasant stay!
de treehouse is erg leuk , bijzonder voor als je een keer iets anders wilt.
My partner and I had a wonderful time at the Treehouse. Not only because of the superb location, but the Satori staff was so friendly and kind to us. I had a small mishap in the city center, because I fell and had to go to the hospital, but the staff was so helpful it made the pain go away very fast! We love the island, and the Satori Team definitely was a great contribution to this feeling. Thank you, Wayan, Kadek and Sak Ming!
Take care! Coen and Jan, Amsterdam
This treehouse is amazing and Ryan and I had a fantastic time. It's beautiful and it feels like a million miles away. The staff - Wayan and Kadek - are super friendly and helpful. The fruit breakfast we were served every day was delicious and I enjoyed the muesli so much, I even bought two packs to take home with me to Australia. The treehouse is about a 20-30 minute walk into the town, although both Wayan and Kadek kindly drove us in on the back of their motorbikes, which was heaps of fun.
The only downsides were that the hot water was quite temperamental and the water pressure in one of the bathrooms was quite low. I actually prefer a cold shower anyway. We did mention this to the staff, but the hot water never really 100% returned until the final day of our stay. The other problem was that the wi-fi barely ever worked in the treehouse, although there was no shortage of cafes or restaurants in town that offered free wi-fi.
Having said all that, Ryan and I would definitely return to Satori again! An amazing experience.
We were delighted to have you guys stay, but we do love everything to be as close to perfect as possible for our guests. The internet can drive us crazy in rainy season. Most of us on the island rely on Bali's old and badly maintained copper wire system to deliver ADSL. We can go three months without a problem and then have issues every day for two weeks. The upside is for future guests super fast, highly reliable, fibre optic internet is coming soon to Ubud. It's expensive, but as soon as it's available we will have it!
With the water pressure we apologise. We just sunk a new, deep well for our water and are still fine tuning the pumps system that sends water around the property. Sometimes that pressure is low and it won't fire the gas heater. But we're closing in on perfecting it and it is something easily fixed if it happens again.
Thanks for your feedback Jo, it was a pleasure to host you guys, come back and see us soon! :-)
The treehouse at Satori is a wonderful place to stay while on a trip to Ubud. The location is stunning, a little away from the busy-ness of the town, while being a very manageable walk/taxi into the town centre. You could not be looked after better anywhere! The housekeepers - Wayan and Kadek - are absolutely wonderful and look after your every need. And Mark was a very generous host - easy to communicate details with leading up to my arrival, and he made sure I was well looked after during my stay. I also did a couple of trips with their driver, Dewa, which were completely wonderful and allowed me to see parts of Bali I would never have discovered on my own. And I might have had the best massage of my life there as well - ask for Wati. A truly wonderful place to stay, and I hope to be back some day soon.
