Constructed carefully amongst a tall stand of trees sits The Treehouse, arguably one of the most unique Airbnb listings in Ubud! Guests have describe it as adventurous, fun, rustic and magical.
The Treehouse is two separate rooms, upstairs and downstairs, connected by an outdoor (covered) stairway wrapped around trees.
The upstairs room is a Javanese teak house, boasting a generously proportioned day bed (can convert to full size single bed) TV/DVD, desk and charming TREETOPS BATHROOM! Glass doors slide back to the stunning view where you can relax in the outdoor furniture created from reclaimed wood from old fishing boats, and take in a vista that flows from a jungle frame to the rice field valley below.
Downstairs is the cosy 3x3m air conditioned bedroom with queen-sized bed and a floor-to-ceiling glass wall inviting in the magical setting. Steps away is an indoor/outdoor kitchenette and an additional bathroom.
Both levels have separate bathrooms, the downstairs has a window
A path beside the Treehouse leads alongside our waterfall feature to a private outdoor sitting area. Also set here is a beautiful handmade wooden bathtub, a perfect spot to float with a glass of your favourite something and contemplate the ever-changing light on the rice field beyond.
The shared yoga/massage studio lies between The Treehouse and the neighbouring Villa. Let us contact a talented massage therapist to visit for the perfect end to a memorable Bali day!

Amazing view, fantastic little house and the staff was incredible. Emails were replied within a few hours and the service was exceptional. The best place when you want to stay in Ubud. We hope to be back soon.
The magic treehouse was a brilliant experience. The greatest experience was to sit on the balcony, have a cup of coffee and just enjoy the view.
Wayan was also brilliant as the help and makes a mean banana pancake for breakfast and was ever helpful.
The place is less than 2km from town, but if you're feeling lazy, they can arrange a driver to take you in or even to bring you around for the day.
Definitely a place I would come to again if it's avail on my next trip. It does help that Mark responds quickly to any request and has a manager on the ground to help with our stay.
We really enjoyed our stay at Treehouse Retreat. The serene atmosphere, the view of the rice fields from the balcony, the open bath tub, the cute waterfall, the sumptuous breakfast and the hospitality from Wayan - everything was perfect. There are two rooms. The main room is below and there is a sofa cum bed in the treehouse room above. Further there is also a kitchenette below with a refrigerator, kettle, microwave and water dispenser. For the travel, Mark had put us in contact with Dewa, who came to pick us from the airport and drove us around for two days. He was really patient and extremely friendly.
This place is around 20 min walk from Ubud centre. There are couple of good restaurants and a small departmental store around 10 min by walk. Also we were provided with a phone having a loaded SIM card with the important telephone numbers for emergency purpose. This was really thoughtful of Mark to provide this to the guests. We would love to come back here whenever we are next in Bali.
The treehouse was amazing (although technically its not a treehouse), it was so nice looking out on the rice fields every day. The staff were all super nice and the yoga teacher they arranged was lovely. The breakfast was excellent, I would reccomend the pancakes. The only thing I would say is that you can still hear the beeps from the road - but that wouldnt put me off going again. Thanks to Mark for his comprehensive guide book - he has thought of everything! Lastly the drivers were very knowledgable and fair priced. We were even taken to a Hindu holy water blessing which was an amazing experience. If you stay here deffo have an outdoor bath! lush!
Unfortunately, I got ill just prior to this spectacular one-day visit and was unable to keep my accommodation. However, I can say that in the exchanges leading up to this stay, Mark was very prompt in responding and always at the ready with recommendations.
We spend a couple of weeks going to different locations and properties in Bali. The views from this property were lovely but our issue was that is on a very busy, noisy main road. This affected our stay, constant traffic passing with beeping horns etc. The staff were very understanding and did supply earplugs!
The place was easy to locate as the it was just beside the road.
Wayan (maid) was on hand to welcome us even though we arrived earlier than the scheduled time and served us afternoon tea promptly upon request.
Rooms were nicely made and the view of the padi fields added to the tranquility of the place. Bearing in mind that the accommodation was surrounded by vegetation, bugs will be present in the open areas at night. However, this will not be a problem if you shut the door and practice proper hygiene to keep them away.
Washrooms were also nicely furnished to match to "nature" team, along with the wooden floor and rustic furniture. Breakfast made by Wayan was also delicious, definitely lived up to its mouth-watering description.
Overall, it was a lovely place with lovely people. Recommended if you want to try out something different from your regular urban hotels.
