The Space

Studio has a pretty straightforward layout, it's open and comfortable enough for one or two persons. There is a kitchenette type area equipped with a portable cooktop, cooking utensils, toaster, refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker and some dishes. The bathroom is enclosed, has an overhead heater fan and is newly remodeled with bathtub & vanity. There is hot and cold water, a supply of soap & clean towels available. There is an a/c unit and a portable heater as well. There is a queen-size futon bed with a mattress pad and clean sheets, pillows & extra blankets are available. The space is airy and windows let in a lot of light but not direct sunlight during the day. There are no common walls shared with other living quarters. The space is private, quiet and cozy with the convenient feel of a home. There is a small table and chairs in an enclosed patio area where guests can sit & relax & enjoy a cup of coffee. Allso, if you stand up and look toward the mountains, you can catch a glimpse of Griffith Observatory and part of Hollywood Hills. The Studio has its own unique character and it is in close proximity to both nature and city. There is a variety of shops & boutiques in walking distance plus theatres, restaurants and a weekly Farmer's market both on neighboring Sunset Blvd., & at the Barnsdall Park's lot where you can buy fresh veggies, herbs & flowers. And it is a convenient 15 minute drive from Downtown Los Angeles, City of Glendale, Hollywood, Silver Lake, Echo Park, Atwater, and Universal Studios. The Red Line Metro is on Hollywood & Western, 1.69 miles away. The Studio is in close proximity to the Greek Theatre, a great music venue for music concerts, particularly during the Spring, Summer and early Fall! A must-try for music lovers...! There are adjacent hiking trails out by the Greek Theatre right off of Franklin Ave., as well as bike trails and let's not leave out the wonderful Equestrian center near Griffith Park as well as the Annie Oakley Museum right off the 5 North Freeway. This is particularly a very special corner of the City because of its charm and close proximity to Hollywood and its wonderful array of night life such as nightclubs, speakeasy's, Theaters, movie-theaters, restaurants, museums, etc.. I believe this area is great for visitors who like to get out and explore or, just stay in and relax. I just want to add that I am only a phone call away to answer any questions during your stay!

Guest Access

My guests are basically able to enjoy anything that is inside the studio. I like to greet my guests with a little fruit, coffee, tea, bottled water and whatever fresh food is inside the fridge. There are rules, but overall, the place is neat, comfy and enjoyable.

Interaction with Guests

I am always a phone call away but on occasion, my guests can see me walking in/out of building in front and they either ask me a question or simply greet one another.

The Neighborhood

This is a very walkable area. I love the opportunity to get out and visit my favorite boutiques, organic or outdoor markets, take in a movie at the Vista Theatre, go to Sunset Junction for a cup of coffee, or grab a bite to eat at any of the lovely local restaurants, all within walking distance!

Getting around

The "Dash" runs up and down on Vermont Avenue which is near by as well as the Red Metro Line. Parking is always available out front and my guests can ask me for directions to the studio once a reservation is made.

Other Things to Note

I have a strict "No-Pets-Allowed" Policy and I adhere to it. I am allergic to pet dander and I am sensitive to others' allergies same as mine. I am happy to answer any questions they have prior to their reservation and during their stay so as to clear any doubts. My aim is to have my guests be happy and satisfied with their stay at my Studio.

  • I had a lovely stay at Chrissi's apartment. The place is very comfortable and clean. It's located in a nice area with lots of good cafés and restaurants. It's close to the red line and bus routes, so you can get to most sights without driving. Chrissi is a great, attentive hostess. I would definitely recommend (email hidden).

  • I really enjoyed my stay in this cute apartment. Chrissi was easy to reach and very accommodating with check-in and checkout times. The unit is a mother-in-law style apartment behind a very nice building. The property has a sturdy, locked gate, and the path back to the unit is well lit. The whole block is very peaceful—I was able to get work done, and I slept well. Los Feliz is a great neighborhood, and this place is convenient to everything: transit, restaurants, a good natural foods market (Lassen's), Griffith Park, etc. I hope to be back soon!

  • Great location, Chrissi was very accommodating and the place was very clean/neat. If you are looking for a good room with plenty of local stores and restaurants within walking distance than this (email hidden)ice was also reasonable, we had a rental car and found street parking in front of the house everyday.

  • I really enjoyed my stay in Chrissi's studio. It is quiet, convenient and just about perfect. You don't need a car; public transportation is everywhere. The studio is just two blocks from Hillhurst Ave and four blocks from Vermont. There is ample street parking if you do have a car. I will definitely stay here again.

I like the outdoors, art, music, travel. I like gardening, working out, reading, cooking and spending time with family and friends. I love my neighborhood and believe it has a lot to offer to those who like to travel and explore. I like my local movie theatre because all the seat rows are pretty wide and one has plenty of leg room plus I can walk there. When cooking, I appreciate fresh veggies and I am fortunate to have a local Famers Market nearby on Sunset Blvd. They have fresh herbs, fruit, even hand-made soap and flowers. It's always a treat to buy a homemade tamale or a chicken pita with hummus while I'm there. On my way there, I pass our local brewery which is always upbeat and busy with customers sitting outside enjoying their Pale Ale. A local coffee shop called Sunset Junction is also within walking distance they have fresh coffee and it's always busy with cool hipsters sitting in the patio, reading and using their laptops while drinking coffee. I happen to love "Stella" the restaurant adjacent to this coffee shop. They have delicious pumpkin soup and once in a while I catch a celebrity hanging out. Again, this is a really nice area to live in and visit. I welcome the opportunity of hosting your stay!
