About this listing
I love my apt. and I think you will too! It is four blocks from a beautiful beach and walking distance to some of the best shopping on the island, delicious restaurants, the iconic Waikiki beach front, and two local grocery stores. There is also a fancy outdoor pool bar four blocks away where you can layout on crisp white daybeds under the stars while treating yourself to fancy cocktails and island snacks. If you go on Friday night its a perfect location to watch the Waikiki firework show!!!
I just bought this apt. six months ago and have put a lot of work into it, including a brand new kitchen with fancy white Carrera counters and beautiful mango wood shelving and bar top. It also has wood floors and crisp white curtains, making it a refreshing place to chill after a day of sun!
My favorite piece of furniture is a modern danish sofa with velvet cushions. It is a comfortable place to sleep for anyone under 5'6". I also have a rusty old beach cruiser that you are welcome to use.
The bedroom is a very nice to sleep in as there are large windows on two walls, allowing for a peaceful tropical cross breeze!
I'm not sure what else to say about it so please ask me if you have any remaining questions.
I think you will enjoy being here if you rent it!
Please respect the new Italian marble countertops and try not to spill or leave spilled coffee, red wine, beets, or anything like this on the surface!:)
Lock front windows with sticks before leaving.
Be nice to my apt.:)
Lalasia's plcae was VERY cute and quaint! It was perfectly comfortable for the two of us! There is plenty of light and a great breeze throughout the day and night! We left the windows open all night and weren't at all bothered by the street noise. The bed was cozy and it was lovely waking up to the birds each morning! The complex (if you will) is very welcoming and the neighbors are friendly and helpful! There is plenty to do within walking distance of the home. We opted to rent a car but only needed it to go outside of Waikiki. We would walk to coffee, breakfast and dinner as it is all that close! I absolutely loved the setup and decor of her home and would fully recommend it to anyone staying in the area!
Lalasia is very quick to respond and helpful in whatever you may need!
Lalasia's place was fantastic! It had plenty of light, was within a mile to Waikiki and was extraordinarily clean. She was very welcoming, checked in via email to make sure everything was as expected. This place was absolutely fabulous and the value was rather incredible! A great vibe and a great location. HIGHLY recommended for budget-conscious travelers to this area.
If you're not used to sleeping in a busy area, it may be a tad on the noisier side for you, but we slept well considering we live in a city and the bedroom was very comfortable. Closing the windows helps immensely to dim the noise from the road and the fans work great to cool down the house (no A/C) and provide extra ambient noise.
Great water pressure in the bathroom, though if you're a taller person (over 6') you'll have to hunch a bit. This didn’t seem to bother my boyfriend however-- I think he's used to it!
The parking spot was a fantastic plus! Parking is not cheap in that area and it was great to have a place to stash our rental car.
We'd definitely stay there again!
Lalasia was an excellent host! She was very easy to get in contact with if you needed anything at all. The apartment was great! Perfect size for the two of us and loved having a kitchen to cook in. On rainy days it would have been nice to have a Tv but since there was wifi we didn't really mind. Very close to the beach and restaurants everything was within walking distance which we liked. Being in the city it could get a little noisy at night but if you had the overhead fan on it usually drowned the city noise out.
We had such a good time and did not want to leave! I would recommend Lalasia's apartment if you're traveling to Honolulu.

We didn't actually meat lalasia but finding the apartment and settling in was easy. The location is excellent for Waikiki and all buses for getting around the island. We loved the apartment, it's a lovely space to relax in and the bed was really comfy. It can get a bit noisy in the mornings with local traffic but it's very quiet at night. Overall it was a brilliant base for a relaxing stay.
We had a lovely time in Lalasia's apartment. It has a groovy mid century feel and it makes you instantly relaxed. It is much more authentic than staying in hotel room or a tiny condo in a high rise. We liked having the extra space and the feeling of being in real Honolulu, yet within a walking distance to the beach (we liked the one near the Hilton the best). There are many amenities near by including a good little Food Pantry, Aloha Cafe and even a cool little bar that makes good ribs and has a real American feel to it. We ended up not renting a car, but if you do, there's parking and that's a prime thing in Honolulu. The building manager was there to help us too which made us feel welcome. The ceiling fans worked well but maybe if you're not used to the tropics and are there in summer, you could feel the heat? We liked having the wifi and being able to hook up our mp3 player to the speakers (liked listening to Hawaiian radio stations). After staying in this apartment, we had a few days in a resort on Maui but let me tell you, we preferred the apartment and its authenticity. I think the only thing on the wishlist would be access to a swimming pool - but you can't have it all folks!
We stayed in Lalasia's apt for about a week. Her place is the same as shown in the pictures. The apt style is a perfect fit for a vocation at beach. The apt is cosy and the decoration is lovely. We borrowed Lalasia's surfing board, and there was a lot of fun.
The time we went there was supposed to be the hottest month of the year. Before we went there I was worried about the temp in the apt since there is not AC, but it turned out that the breeze cooled down the apt very well everyday. It was not that hot with fans on.
We definitely will stay at Lalasia's apt again next time we go Hawaii.
The neighborhood is fantastic. It's centrally located and close to Ala Moana Park and shopping center. Very easy to walk everywhere, and the benefit of having a parking spot in this area is huge! The apartment over all is cute and quaint. No AC, so it's quite warm in the apartment unless you keep the front door open, and then it's quite comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
