  • Carol and Jim are very friendly and helpful. I forgot to bring an adaptor to charge my phone. I went to her at night about 10 ish and she went up to the attic to help me look for one. Although she couldn't find one, I appreciated her time and effort.

Their Seahurst house is an exceptional beauty. The bedrooms are big. Each is equipped with a queen-size bed and fluffy pillows and nice blankets, a closet with so many hangers, a cabinet with many drawers, lots of big and small mirrors, bathrobes and a radio alarm. How thoughtful is that!

The living and dining rooms are so spacious that they could accommodate more then 10 people. I had several dinner gatherings with my relatives at their house. A television with so many channels to watch programmes on, a fire place, so many sockets to use and charge whatever electrical appliances you have. But please bring your own adaptors. Canada uses 2 flat pins sockets.

Now the kitchen is a pleasant surprise!!!! I cooked breakfast every morning during my 2 week stay there. The kitchen has everything! A rice cooker, a blender, microwave, ovens, a big fridge, coffee maker, washing machine, drying machine, iron and board. She has also placed all the necessary cooking ingredients from salt to cooking oil! How thoughtful is that!

Bathrooms are clean and bright. So many towels of different sizes for you to use.

The surrounding is very quiet but very safe. I walked and jogged almost every morning to breathe in the freshest air and enjoy the warm sunshine.

Her home is unbeatable! If you want a place cozy, warm, clean and safe, Seahurst Home owned by Carol and Jim is a smart and good choice.

    Thank you Carol and Jim.
    Take care!!

  • Suit is very very good. Good size, new furniture, we felt here like a home. Kitchen is full, we really find out all what we need. And we were surprised with some gifts from Carol and Jim.

I love fireplace in living room, this is my favorite place. Also there are many Vancouver guides with helpful details

Suit is completely over my expectation and i recommend everyone to stay here. Absolutely best expirience.

Carol and Jim are really friendly and nice hosts. I hope we will meet with them again.

    Thank you

  • Myself and my two daughters stayed at Seahurst house for a week. Carol & Jim welcomed us to this home as if we were family. We received more than value for our money and now know 2 more great people. The home is luxurious, complete with laundry facilities, big screen TV and a sundeck. The location is quiet and close to everything we needed. A great place to stay for a vacation or while on a business trip. You will not be disappointed. I will be back.

  • In August 2013 our family of 4 stayed for 15 days at Seahurst House. We were very impressed with the accommodation having rented houses in various locations around the world in the past. I would say that this has been the best so far and would be very hard to beat. I would certainly recommend Seahurst House to family and friends and would hope to return again next year.
Carol and Jim have gone to great lengths to provide a welcoming home. I had concerns about noise from Highway 99 and Steveston Hwy but it was not an issue at all. It was a nice quiet area of Southern Richmond, handy for Ironwood plaza and highway access. The house was very well appointed, a true home from home. A nice touch was the welcome package in the fridge, much appreciated with a late arrival.
Carol and Jim were very attentive and great hosts, their unobtrusive way was appreciated! My daughter loved having the opportunity to walk their family dog Sydney.

  • “Seahurst House was Superb! Jim and Carol are the best of hosts! Warm, welcoming, friendly and helpful yet willing to give us all the privacy we desired during our week stay. A bottle of wine and beer in the fridge plus some treats for the kids upon our arrival was an added thoughtful touch. As a family of 2 parents with 4 kids ranging from age 3 to 12, we found the accommodations perfectly fit the size and needs of our family. Large foyer to organize all the gear. 2 bathrooms a bonus! Kitchen was great; coffee, mustard and ketchup were already there! Used the washer and dryer often. Location excellent (and QUIET!!)…close to ferries plus within a decent driving distance to major places in Vancouver. Nearby village of Steveston (quaint area for walking and window-shopping. Free spray park in Steveston to cool the kids off too!). Full Cable TV plus we borrowed some movies from Jim and Carol. Our kids fell in love with Sydney, the Golden Retriever. A happy, lovable dog that mirrors her happy owners! She even won over Daddy, the non-dog lover. Treat these hosts well not only because they deserve it, but because if you do, you might get an added treat of experiencing their stunning backyard garden/waterfall/fish pond. We’d stay again without hesitation.”

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Seahurst house. The rooms were spacious and well layed out. Everything was very clean and I didn't have to think twice about letting my baby crawl around. Beds and linens were quite comfortable.

Carol and Jim thought of everything. The kitchen was stocked with all the basics and more. It was great to be able to make tea & coffee at the rental without needing to buy a kilo of sugar. There was even zip lock baggies - great for taking snacks to-go.

They were also a great source of information - what to see, where to go, etc. And if they weren't around, the rental had lots of brochures and guidebooks.

The location was very convenient to the airport and there is a grocery store, Tim Horton's and restaurants within walking distance. It was also very easy to get to downtown Vancouver.

  • I had a wonderful time at Carol and Jim's place. It was a perfect place. This will be my destination every time I come to Vancouver. Carol and Jim are so welcoming; they are perfect hosts. The house is very spacious, very well equipped, and perfectly maintained. Very clean and comfortable to enjoy and relax. More than perfect. and truly home away from home. My parents had a great time too. They loved the stay and little walks around the neighborhood. I will recommend this place to all my friend and family.

  • We spent a week enjoying the comforts of Seahurst house and were delighted by our good fortune. The house is very roomy and private despite being attached to the home of the hosts. The furnishings and beds are modern and comfortable. Carol and Jim were very careful about making us feel that it was our home while we were there, so that we felt free to entertain our friends and family. We were very impressed by the way it was stocked for our use and delighted by the kind provision of welcoming drinks and goodies.
The home is on a very quiet residential street despite being very close to the highway that connects you to all destinations in the area. An ideal location for those who are interested in exploring the outskirts of Vancouver with the possibility of visiting Vancouver itself with relative ease. A car is necessary, however.
We will definitely book again when we visit the area in the future.

  • In the last days of March 2013, 3 of us stayed for a week at the Seahurst House. This was an excellent place, very quiet yet very close to Hwy 99. This 3 bedroom suite was located in the top portion of the house, very large with nice deck to enjoy your morning coffee. Parking in the driveway for 2 full size vehicles. Nicely landscaped backyard with koi pond and waterfall was visible through all 3 bedroom windows.

Beds were very comfortable with memory foam mattress. Kitchen was equipped with everything needed including some basic supplies, food stuff and drinks. Laundry closet included newer front load Samsung laundry set and all other appliances were almost brand new as well.

Carol and James were great hosts making sure we had everything we needed and more :). I really don't understand why would anyone want to rent a hotel room. I felt totally at home.
