The house recently renovated by a famous architect from Rome, located in a quiet place 100 meters from the sea, 100 meters from the metro station to get to Rome and 7 km from an important archaeological site in Ostia Antica, where in summer cultural activities take place as theater and in the ruins of the city. Inside the Pineta di Castel Fusano, within walking distance, you make paths gymnastic sports and athletic activities. As well as there is a bio-park with wild animals.
The house is very comfortable, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Both are furnished with antique furniture, rustic beginning of the last century, with modern furniture. The large, modern kitchen with washing machine and home appliances, has a work table with central fires, also convenient to eat.
The garden, which surrounds the villa is lovely and full of Mediterranean plants, including herbs such as rosemary, sage, thyme, bay leaf comfortable to use in the kitchen. A pleasant roof protects the sofa in the garden from hot summer days.
In the garden there is a parking space near the entrance.

Spacious rooms, enough bathrooms and showers for a larger group and a nice big dining table for family meals. The kitchen was well equipped too. Sadly, the closest grocery store was a couple of train stations away and as we visited off-season many of the nearby restaurants were closed. Rome was a 40 min train ride away, and the trains run so often that we did not even bother with checking the schedules. Ostia Antica is on the way to Rome and well worth visiting - possibly even nicer than Pompeii.
Ada was a great host. When we arrived 4 hours late from our flight she welcomed us friendly and showed us the house that was actually much nicer than on the pictures. The near train station made it easy to travel to the City Centre of Osita with many shops are supermarkets and beyond to Rome. The house was big enough for me and 8 other friends if you are looking for a relaxed place close to the beach with easy access to Rome this is defiantly the right place.
Nous étions attendus et bien accueillis. Tout s'est très bien passé, en accord avec ce que nous avions imaginé. A l'exception du bruit lié aux avions qui volaient très près de la maison.
We stayed in the villa during our recent trip to Ostia for the Taekwon Do World Championships. The location was very convenient for us, as the venue for the tournament was within walking distance or a very short train ride away.
The house was very comfortable and close to the train station, which made getting around easy.
Everything was as described, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay close to the beaches of Ostia.
Thank you, Ada, we enjoyed our stay.
Best of both worlds!
You know what it can be like trying to agree a venue for the whole family across the generations: city break or beach?
Well, this option covers both possibilities.
The apartment is the ground floor of a large villa, close to the beach and to metro trains into Rome. It had everything we needed, and Ada additionally provided a cot and high chair for our youngest grandchild.
We had a great time.
We spent the last week of April 2014 in Ada's villa.
Everything went well and we had a great time.
It is indeed very convenient to get from the house to Rome with the train (2 minutes walk to the station [Christopher Colombus], train every 5 to 15 minutes between 5 in the morning and midnight, arriving at Porta San Paolo = Pyramid in half an hour).
The house and the garden are very pleasant.
If you have a car, it can be parked securely behind the locked entrance gate.
All in all, a good choice if you want to visit Rome but prefer to avoid hotels in the town center and have some space to move around with the kids and even maybe go to the beach (although beaches are almost all private: the only free beach accessible by foot is quite small and about 3 kilometers away).
We went to Lido di Ostia the end of April with group of friends for a long weekend. We arrived late in the evening but that wasn't a problem, the friendly housekeeper welcomed us. The house is very spacious and clean, we also enjoyed the terrace outside! Perfect location to visite Rome and enjoy Ostia beaches, though it wasn't summer season yet and not everything was open. Blue's bar across the street was crowded on friday/saturday evening and a fun place to close the day. I can recommend this place for sure, a lot of value for money!
