Interaction with guests
Whenever we have free time to socialize with our guests we love talking about life and experiences. Sometimes we just sit and have some juice or tea. Other times when we are very busy we briefly say hi and carry on with our day. Every experience is an adventure and a most cherished opportunity.
Our neighborhood is located right next to the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site. There are many trees and flowers that embellish the houses and roads for lovely neighborhood walks. We live very close to downtown Vancouver, a cute little city filled with a local weekend farmers market, coffee shops, bars and boutiques.
We are located right next to Portland about 4.0 - 9.0 miles away depending on where you are going. There is a local bus system which can take you all around Vancouver or into Portland for just $5.00 all day pass. The train is called the Maxline and it takes about an hour to get into downtown Portland.
No meat preparation and no cigarette smoking on the property.
I'm a raw vegan-white clothes wearing-long haired-tipi dwelling-sports car driving-gentle soul. Been out of this body several times and learned that I am not this one that I pretend to be. But we are all having fun playing dress up with these bodies we wear.
What I’m doing with my life
I am living my dream as a musician who is on a mission to create heaven on earth. Not easy, but every now and then I get a taste (had one today in fact) and it is so worth it.
I wear white clothes because it feels right to me. Like what I would want to wear in heaven, so why not wear them here as a statement of intention? I play the world's only acoustic seven string violin as a meditation and a message of peace to the world. My main message is slowly becoming clearer to me. It's that you are ok. That you belong and are beautiful and have genius inside of you. I believe that if we each understood this the world would turn around and be the most beautiful place. I am trying to go to the very roots of the decay as I see that if the roots can be healed the foliage and fruit happen all on their own with no pesky maintenance. :) And I love efficiency and am always trying to get as big a bang for as little as possible.
Musically I am a minimalist. Well, in my whole life I strive to be a minimalist - like trying to live out a winter in my tipi, so it shows up in the music. I try to say as much as possible in the fewest notes. I use a looper and it has been an interesting study just trying to figure out what it is that transforms sound into music. And then to create a feeling with just 5 or 6 notes. A bond even. I try to reach into the soul and reassure that yes I've been there too and it is going to be ok. And I have found that where people would never listen seriously to me tell them these ideas with my mouth, they are defenseless and have left the back door to their soul wide open to Peacemaker (my violin) and she ushers me in to do my work. Well, I don't really do anything. I mostly just show up and try to stay out of the way.
I like yoga, raw food, (currently making my 5th attempt at breatharianism) mortgage-less housing, light hearted play and laughter, traveling, meeting new people, meditation when I really get into it, playing for a group of people who are listening on the edge of their seats, recovering a hurting soul. I'm all about redemption and cry the hardest when someone feels unacceptable.
