Walk Anywhere In-Town Adobe Casa

House - Entire home/apt · W Manhattan Ave, Santa Fe, NM 87501, United States

The Space

This adorable adobe is perfectly located in the popular Railyard Area of Santa Fe. Walk about 5 minutes to the abundant Santa Fe Farmer's Market, Site Santa Fe Museum, and many of restaurants and contemporary galleries. The RoadRunner commuter train from Albuquerque is also just a couple blocks. You can even walk to Whole Foods Market and the Plaza.

The light-filled living room has high ceilings and wood floors. An efficient gas stove provides ambiance and warmth when needed. Built-in bancos are characteristic of traditional Santa Fe design. The full kitchen is well-stocked and easy to cook in.

2 cozy bedrooms have small arched doors and traditional coved ceilings. Both have queen beds and down pillows and comforters. The house also has 4 non-down bed pillows, 1 non-down comforter, and several blankets. Each bedroom has a large screen TV. One has cable, the other has a VCR with a hookup for your laptop. The living room sofa folds down to a single-size futon-style bed.

Guests share one bath which is accessed from either bedroom by somewhat old-fashioned doors. It has a shower/tub and is beautifully tiled with traditional Mexican tile.

The very private outdoor patio is a relaxing place for dining or reading.

The house has wireless internet and two parking spaces. You will enjoy your little get-away tucked privately down a narrow drive.

Screens have been added on two doors so they can be left open for cross ventilation. There are also two fans and a portable air cooler unit.

Guest Access

Guests may use the laundry in the sunroom.

Interaction with Guests

Guests have their privacy.

The Neighborhood

I love how accessible everything is in the neighborhood. Coffee shops, restaurants, galleries, grocery stores, shops, parks, and events are all within a few blocks.

Getting around

Parking is directly in front of the house. There is plenty of room for 2 cars, but they need to pull in tandem (single file). The driveway is narrow in some places so you should be comfortable with that. There is also street parking one-house distance walk away. Many restaurants, galleries, and sites are walking distance. The Railrunner train to Albuquerque is walking distance.

Other Things to Note

There is a very small step down from each of the bedrooms when you come out of the doors.

  • Julee's place is wonderful! We could walk right over to the railyard to one of our favorite places to get a later dinner when we drive into town, 2nd Street Brewery. Also very close to the square, we ended up driving but you could walk if you'd like. The house is extremely clean and has a very calming feeling to it. We really enjoyed the times we just got to sit and relax there. You can open the shades and let in really great morning and afternoon light. The kitchen is FULLY stocked, we ate there one night and could've made a lot of our meals there if we wanted (but there's so many amazing places to eat!). Loved the styling of the place, too. And yes, the bed is sooooo comfortable!

  • A great and comfortable place in a quiet neighborhood. Easy walking distance to many restaurants and downtown.

  • Julee's place was lovely. We spent most of our time on the slopes, which was maybe 25 min drive away.
Place was well decorated, spotless and stocked with all the essentials we forgot to carry.
Julee was easy to reach and responded promptly.

  • Julee was a wonderful hostess! We SO enjoyed our stay at her adorable home. The location could not be more perfect. We walked to art galleries, the farmers market, restaurants, Santa Fe Clay, and more. We loved the outdoor patio and helped ourselves to her fantastic tea collection. Thanks, Julee! We'll be back.

  • Enjoyed our time at Julee's place. Easy walk to the farmer's market and a few galleries, and a very short drive to town square and other fun stuff. Clean place, great Santa Fe vibe, everything was wonderful. Would stay here again.

  • This place was amazing! The house is super cute and has everything you could need if you want to cook. The courtyard is beautiful and is lovely for meals outside. We did walk everywhere - to the awesome Saturday farmers market, whole foods, the plaza, REI...all are right there. Julee and Adlison answered our texts promptly are we're very easy going. Would recommend this place and would love to stay here again. Thank you!

  • We loved Julee and Adilson's casita in Santa Fe. We were two couples, and we were happily ensconced in the two bedrooms. The kitchen was complete with everything we needed for cooking, and they generously offered their spices and condiments so that we didn't have to buy them for our short stay. The beds were comfortable, the spaces beautiful, the courtyard lovely. We sat around in all the different places, ate outside and in, read the nice books they had. And we could walk all over Santa Fe. "Walk Anywhere In-Town" is true. The whole place had a lovely feel. Thank you so much for providing a cozy, comfortable house. It made our stay in Santa Fe even better.

  • In Sept, myself and 2 friends traveled from Portland, Oregon to Sante Fe, NM for a 5 day stay. From the moment we arrived at Julee & Adilson's adobe we were in love! The space is full of peaceful energy, decorated simply & beautifully, is spacious, sound-proof (very private feeling), with high living room ceilings, plenty of natural light from windows, offers an open, abundantly stocked kitchen, luxurious beds, and enough hot water for 3 showers plus!
And it is true! we were able to walk everywhere from the house; to our workshop location, galleries, food stores (whole foods almost around the corner), the burning of the Zozobra man festival (@ the Plaza), restaurants and for me a special attraction--to a Starbucks that stayed open until 10pm. :)
And did I mention the outdoor patio courtyard where we had our lazy breakfast/s and afternoon reading sessions? Birds chirped, hummingbird moths sipped on the garden flowers, and there was always one set of chairs in the shade if you wanted to be outside in the shady breeze instead of sitting directly under the sunny sky.
The photos of this house on the Airbnb site are totally accurate and in fact, the house is even more welcoming and beautiful in person. All 3 of us felt like we'd hit the jackpot of Airbnb affordable vacation rentals!
Julee provided clear and complete info and instructions about the house on Airbnb and in our exchanges before we arrived. She and I also exchanged text messages a few times while we were staying at the house (ie. where do you keep the garbage liners?), and she always responded within 5 minutes. I felt secure and safe at the house, and with knowing Julee would get us any information we needed to make our stay a happy one.
It was/is hard to thank Julee & Adilson enough for listing their property on Airbnb. This listing is really what I'd call a super-listing! We will definitely stay at the house again when we travel to Santa Fe.
