Quaint cottage on a private estate located directly across the street from the Stanford campus. This newly remodeled cottage is the ideal place to stay while in Palo Alto. The completely remodeled kitchen includes fresh white cabinets stocked with all the cooking essentials, black granite counter tops, full size refrigerator/freezer and a 4 burner range, microwave oven, coffee maker, and electric kettle. The adorable living space, which is flooded with light and has views of the property's interior courtyards, includes a twin day bed, flat screen LED TV and a large closet. Off the living space you will find a beautifully remodeled bathroom with Carrera marble floors, and a large standing glass tile shower.
The cottage is ideally located minutes away from Stanford Shopping Center, Caltrain Station, downtown Palo Alto, Town and Country Village, and California Ave Farmers market.
Commuting is a breeze since it is conveniently situated between the Palo Alto Caltrain Station as well as the California Avenue Caltrain Station. There is also access to the free Margarite Shuttle which services both the Stanford Campus and the surrounding Palo Alto area.
Sruthi was a wonderful host. This little cottage was everything she promised and more than I hoped for. Perfect location for visiting Stanford University. It was directly across the street. I could walk to campus quickly. Perfect studio cottage with full kitchen and magnificent bathroom/shower. Better than a hotel, with hospitable guests who were more than generous to me, even offered me a ride when we crisscrossed in the front yard.
I will visit Stanford once a year and I hope to stay here again!
The Palo Alto Cottage is cute, very clean and has everything you need. I would stay here again and would recommend it.
Location was great, and the host was communicative and helpful. I would recommend others to stay here. It is on a main road but set back enough to be very quiet and peaceful, but with the benefits of being able to get out into Palo Alto easily.
Everything was as-advertised and it was incredibly convenient for my business on the Stanford Campus.
I spent 6 nights here and I really enjoyed my stay. The cottage is a standalone building and very quiet. It had everything I needed and I will stay here again. The cottage was a perfect size for me traveling alone.
I had a bit of work to do at Stanford and needed a place close to campus. This cottage is a gem amidst a sea of unreasonably priced hotels (those that were cheaper were a little further out and in sketchy parts). The cottage is small but cleverly designed. There's a fully stocked kitchen with stove, fridge and microwave. The bed/sofa was comfortable for me but if you're a very tall person, you may have to adopt fetal position. The bathroom is a nice size with a great shower. This cottage is walking distance to some good food. Overall, this was a fantastic stay and I definitely will book here again in the future.
I never met Sruthi, but talked on the phone. She was always available for any question I had. The apartment is just as advertised, small, neat, clean, and new. I enjoyed staying there.
