I enjoyed my stay at the loft and the thoughtful touches. Only one thing: I would have appreciated a text before Antonio came to fix the bolt he broke. It was a surprise to me him coming in with 2 workmen. The stairs are steep but I managed ok with my luggage going down, thanks to Antonio for helping on the way up.
This was our first Airbnb and we were absolutely delighted with it. Pedro's apartment is very well located for everything you could want. The apartment is also very well equipped and comfortable for 4 people. We would highly recommend it. If you get a chance have a drink in the tiny bar underneath. It is manned by two friendly hipsters and the prices are rock bottom!
Pedro was great! He was very helpful with the questions that we had while checking in. The flat was immaculate and just as beautiful as the photos in the listing. We loved staying there. It was centrally located to the things that we wanted to do on our very short trip to Lisbon. The neighborhood felt safe and was close to Bairro Alto if you want to stay out late for a fun night. :-) (If you want to stay in, be prepared that you'll likely hear people outside until around 2am Thurs-Sat.) It is within walking distance of the train station if you want to head to Cascais for the day and (a longer walk) of Alfama if you are in search of beautiful photos of the city.
This place was actually my first AirBNB experience and it was excellent -- I can't recommend it enough. We had a bunch of complications when we arrived (late flight, one of us didn't arrive until the next day) and Pedro handled it all in stride. I had never been to Lisbon before and was so surprised to be in the heart of the city. The front door of the apartment building opens up to the Elevador da Bica. Just can't be beat.
Obrigado!

About the Host, Pedro
Portuguese design and history enthusiast that lived and studied abroad for a while. I really enjoy reading, travelling and history. Our apartments were designed in a way, that You feel You are in a XXI century apartment but at the same time, the history, materials and structure were maintained. I have a crush on designing and developing spaces, so creating these apartments from scratch was a really great challenge, experience and project. I am really sure You will enjoy them!
