Anu & family made my husband and I feel welcome for our one-night stay and were kind enough to bring us over coffee and a filter as we came in to the island late and not knowing what the lay of the land would be. I would definitely stay here again - spacious, light & lovely, with a large front/back/side lawn to stretch out on.
Great place--served our needs perfectly. Lovely yard and picnic area and a very comfortable bed.
Great place! Very cozy, clean and nice! Looks even better then in the pictures! We had a very good time, Anu was nice and dry helpful. We will recommend it to our friends and will most likely coma back ourself! Thank you!
The one bedroom suite (with a mini refrigerator and a coffee maker) is exactly as described. A very nice setting on Shelter Island a short distance away from the market, beaches and the ferry. Anu was very accommodating in providing anything that was needed and was very easy to communicate to.
Anu upgraded us to the one bedroom suite for a very reasonable rate after a single room became unavailable. When we got there we needed help finding the place and she was immediately available over the phone. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and very private. Its in a small remodeled multiplex and while it didn't have a kitchen the refrigerator coffee maker and dishes/cups/paper towels were just fine given the great restaurant options on the island (bobs seafood and the islander were our favorite!). An IGA grocery store is just up the road for ground coffee and to stock the fridge with snacks. There was a barbecue and lawn furniture that we didn't get to enjoy because we were so busy. At night its so peaceful and the sound of the crickets lulled us to sleep. Would definitely stay here again!
A nice place to stay on Shelter Island. Much of Shelter Island is filled with older, character-filled homes. This rental is no exception, and it's part of what makes this place so special!
I called Anu when we arrived on the island and she invited us to check-in to the room ourselves. When we entered the room, we were pleasantly surprised - the pictures do no justice to this charming, well kept home. We enjoyed the large living room and large bedroom with a very comfortable king bed.
Anu provided a list of things to do in the area as well as a list of restaurants. Overall it was a great experience and we would rent from Anu again!
