  • What an amazing place to stay. Such gracious hosts! Steve and Karen were quick to respond to all my booking questions before I arrived. They went the extra mile to have creamer for my coffee in the fridge. Upon arrival, they gave me a tour and I felt at home right away. Everything is as stated in the description. Quiet neighborhood, clean, comfy room and incredible backyard and pool to enjoy. Steve and Karen made me feel like family. They took me on a tour of the Living Desert where Steve is a guide. I booked a massage with Karen and she pampered me! I would highly recommend these accommodations. As a female traveling alone, looking for some R&R, they put me at ease right away with the level of care, security and attention to detail. Can't wait to visit again. Thank you!

  • Steve and Karen are great hosts! They had everything ready for us including binders full of activities/sights/places. The Casita was perfect; location, size, condition, spotlessness, comfy bed, flat screen TV, very quiet neighborhood. Steve even made sure the hot tub was at the right temperature! Although we didn't have a kitchen, we didn't need it, the fridge and microwave were fine. We were close enough to walk downtown to restaurants and shopping. It was a great experience we will do again.

  • I really enjoyed my stay in Palm Desert which is by the way a lot nicer than Palm Springs.
Steve and Karen were great hosts and if I return to Palm Desert, I would stay at the Cozy Casita again. The casita was clean and comfy, the exterior with the pool and the palm and lemon trees is really nice.
Karen is registered Professional masseuse so I had the opportunity to enjoy a nice massage.
Steve drove me at the airport at 4:30am on a Saturday, he didn't have to do this but he did and I am very grateful for this gesture. As a woman traveling by myself, I felt secure at all times.

  • Steve and Karen's place was perfect and they are great hosts! Their casita is very comfortable and they have provided a lot of nice touches to make your stay extra special. Very peaceful and the hot tub was great. We will stay here again when we come back to the area...if there is availability.

  • We just finished a 6 night stay at Steve's place and I can say it was an excellent experience. The Casita is located in an upscale neighbourhood only a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive to El Paseo. the main shopping and restaurant area of Palm Desert. Very quiet at night and all day for that matter.

Beautiful, clean pool area. Everything looks very new and well cared for.
All pictures are exactly as shown and Steve was very easy to deal with.
The Casita is just right for two people and we had the use of the entire back yard with all of the furniture, bar b q and Steve allowed us total privacy.
Steve also delivered the local newspaper to our door every morning.
There was nothing lacking in the supplies, fridge had drinks, giant tv with 700 channels, free phone to anywhere in North America, pool towels, bath soap, fully stocked Kuerig coffee machine. Steve also lent us his bicycle which was very kind of him..

Steve kept asking if we needed anything else. We honestly couldn't think of anything missing.

Steve supplied many maps and suggestions for day trips and he also took us on a guided tour of the Living Desert where he is a volunteer. He also gave great suggestions for restaurants ( Mama Gina's)
I can't say enough about our stay, we loved every day and wished we could have stayed longer.
If you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday with a friendly on site host, this is the Casita for you!

  • 1st class accommodations - all pictures are 100% accurate. In addition to the Casita and pool, we had the whole back yard to ourselves including bbq and shaded table/chairs and lounge area complete with ceiling fans. Powerful a/c unit to keep you cool and full size fridge/freezer to keep your beverages nice and cold. Really can't say enough about this great find.

Steve was a wonderful host - very personable, knowledgeable and accommodating of our schedule and needs. Hope to spend more nights here in the future and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Cozy Casita to anyone looking for a place in the desert.

  • Steve and Karen are amazing hosts. My girlfriend and I had everything we needed in our guest house from towels to directions to nearby attractions. In the sunny California weather, we loved taking advantage of the hot tub and the pool. In fact, Steve and Karen let us have the entire backyard to ourselves to enjoy. Parking was no problem at all - we parked our car right in front of the front entrance. I would definitely recommend staying with them to any traveler with no hesitation.

  • Steve and Karen were excellent hosts and made us feel very comfortable in the Casita, which had every convenience needed for a great stay - access to a pool and hot tub, an outside kitchen and lounging area. We felt safe in this area of Palm Desert and you could walk to all the shops and restaurants on El Paseo. My wife had a relaxing massage with Karen who is a trained and excellent massage therapist. Steve suggested things to do in the area and even gave us an excellent tour of the Living Desert. We will return to recreate this fantastic experience.

  • Our stay at Steve's Casita was absolutely wonderful. The casita (which is situated on a gorgeous property in a pristine neighbourhood) was everything we could have asked for and more.
Comfortable bed, complimentary coffee and wifi - full size fridge with all the accroutements for breakfast and lunc. Steve also provides free calls anywhere in the US and Canada! Steve has a beautiful pool and hot tub and we loved that we could pick fresh fruit from his orange, grapefruit and lemon trees. Steve was exceptionally kind and accomodating. We were thrilled to have him lead us on a hike into the mountainous desert region where we saw mountain sheep and other small animals and beautiful plants and shrubs. In additon, we were toured through the African Section of tthe Living Desert zoo which was absolutely amazing. We had been to the San Diego Zoo days before - and this was even more special.
Steve's casita is a short walk to El Paseo Drive where you can find many lovely boutiques, cafes and restaurants.
We couldn't have dreamed of a better host or place to stay for our first visit to Palm Desert.

  • My boyfriend and I just spent a relaxing 5 days in Steve's Cozy Casita, and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The casita has all the comforts of home, and we used the outdoor kitchen to cook breakfasts and dinners so we didn't have to eat out every meal. The backyard is wonderful, there are several fruit trees so we had fresh grapefruit and oranges every day. And after a day of hiking in Joshua Tree, it's very nice to come back to a jacuzzi and soak for a bit. Steve was a charming and gracious host, we would definitely stay here again when we are back in the area.
