This is my worst experience on airbnb. The second night the host brought me to his friend's house, because he said there is sth wrong with his system and my room had been booked by another guest(maybe from other website) , but my booking had been accepted about 10 days ago, I think this is unacceptable! Besides, before my arrival, I asked the host for the exact address so I can get there on airbnb message several times , but no one replied, then I have to make phone call by Skype. When I arrived at the gate of the house, it took about half an hour to wait for the waiter come and open the gate, the people there can't speak English except the host (Not like the information on airbnb)
Gianni and his daughter were quick to respond, I needed a room last minute. She checked me in and told me which buses I could take to get around and called a cab for me to get to the airport. She spoke English well. Very nice room and breakfast. Overall a great experience.
The experience was very disappointing. We're from canada and the only way to check in was to call a venice cell phone which obvioulsy wasnt ideal considering the added cost. Also the people that work for him only speak Italian so the language barrier was difficult to overcome.
We've stayed in many places from airbnb and Gianni was the absolute least helpful host we've ever had. He directed us to stores and restaraunts that were closed and had no idea about the bus times or schedules and didnt ptovide any help. He never once responded to any message we sent him either through the app or via text.
I would not reccomend this place to anyone except as an absolute last resort.
the picture is as the reality small and cosy
the location is fantastik 5 minutד from airport
the car is in locket place
we came late at night and There was someone waiting for us
Such a lovely place! Great room, good AC (man, it gets hot in Venice!) and having a private bathroom is a great plus!! Not to mention it's super-close to the bus stop! Although I didn't get to meet my host in person (I only stayed one night), he was very helpful in helping get a taxi to my 8 am flight. Wonderful, would recommend!
Gianni was wonderful. He is a very warm, welcoming person and was frankly the perfect host. He had a map and a list of possible itineraries for us and discussed them with us.
The room was very clean, neat, and well equipped. It was modern, has an ac, and was well insulated. Breakfast was great -- some croissants, mini cakes, jams, milk, cereal, etc.
Gianni's B&B is about a 20 min bus ride to Venezia. The bus stop was literally outside of Gianni's door. So transportation was very convenient.
All of this was worth every penny!
Great bnb. Very clean and the young woman who helped my was kind hospitable. Great access to the busses and airport, and detailed information is provided to help you get to Venice if that's where you're going. Would stay again for sure.
