This brand new beautiful house has been build to host people interested in meditation practices. It is located in the very core of Ubud 100 m. from the Palace.
Jalan Kajeng Street is one of the most interesting and original balinese Streets you will find.
The White Lotus is overlooking the ravine and the rice fields across the river. Totally undisturbed by traffic. You will be able to see and hear the waterfall and birds singing.
The 2 rooms named Cocos and Jasmin are furnished in a contemporary style, featuring bathroom with massage shower. The king-sized bed is fitted (email hidden) and self-designed bed linen and ceiling fan. The terrace is a dream with a huge day-bed, table and chairs, giving you a feeling of freedom and peace. From here you watch the jungle, the waterfall, the rice fields across the river. The garden features a Bamboo-Bale, a fish-pond completes the tropical atmosphere.
In our street we have 10 cozy local restaurants happy to serve your breakfast on your terrace.
For meditation practitioners, White Lotus offers the most incredible opportunity: A spacious top-floor pavilion with amazing views over the volcanoes through the ocean of Sanur. Ubud offers many religious, artistic and cultural events.
There is even a scooter available for rent at 5 USD per day.
I am available day and night for my guests, as I do live in the house. Any request of my guests I will try my very best to fulfil.
White Lotus is located in the beautiful natural surrounds of a waterfall and jungle with the rice padis just nearby. All of this is only minutes from the centre of town. Our room, Cocos Room was even better than expected; a very new and modern room, so beautifully furnished with a spacious terrace over the garden. Our host Sandeh was delightful; ever helpful and delightful company. In all, a very beautiful time was spent here.
I enjoyed my stay at Sandeh's house. The room is clean, quiet (except for the lovely sound of the waterfall), and centrally located. Coffee and tea are available on the patio. (I curled up on the giant, outdoor couch and sipped coffee while watching a passing rain storm - blissful). I slept peacefully and I was able to explore a large part of Bali from Sandeh's.
I also liked meditating with Sandeh. At first I was skeptical because it was different than what I'd done at home and in Thailand, but I felt amazing afterwards. Sandeh also helped arrange a driver (Mus - pronounced Moose!!!!) whom I also really liked. He drove us up to the mineral springs temple, rice fields, and coffee plantation for a great price! There is also a fantastic restaurant across the street called Luxe -- Delicious food. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience all that Ubud and the surrounding area has to offer.
I was staying in Cocos room from 20-24th of May. It was perfect. I wish I could stay there longer. Location is great, 3 minutes from the Monkey forest road by walk. It's very beautiful, quite place with green garden, small pond and the sound of the waterfall. The room was big and clean with cozy terrace. Sandeh is very friendly, kind and open hearted person. White Lotus is amazing place. On the top floor there is an open spaced hall for meditations and yoga classes. I spent 3 meditation evenings there. Awesome. I'm very thankful to Sandeh, it was my first meditations and she is a very good teacher. I hope I will come there again one day. Highly recommended!!!
I wish I had booked Sandeh's Place for the whole 3 weeks of my stay in Ubud but I just had a (website hidden) was clean, convenient, well priced ,central and in a really quiet and a beautiful street with great restaurants ,and shops. The peaceful rice fields were only just a 5 min walk away
Yoga on the roof was breathtaking I would go back in a heartbeat!
