  • Love staying with the Mees family! Anyone who has an old house can tell you that in winter (especially this winter!), the charm of an old house can be somewhat diminished by the challenge of keeping all the rooms warm. However, this has NEVER been the case at the Mees's! No matter how snowy and cold the Michigan night, I've always arrived to a warm cozy room. Michelle really goes the extra mile in anticipating anything her guests may need. I highly recommend staying here.

  • We had a great time, only wish we could have stayed longer. It was a privare room in a very inviting home. Michelle's place was the perfect stop on our way to a MSU football game, only 50 minutes from campus.

  • We had a very comfortable stay while in Marshall at Michelle and Bob's place. The room itself, very quaint and private. The location was excellent, as it was a short distance walking to the center of town. Their house was gorgeous. We will definitely stay there again next time we are in Marshall and we'll look forward to meeting Michelle next time.

  • Michelle and Bob's home was a great place for our first AirBnB stay! We were really struck by their beautiful home, their hospitality, and the charming town of Marshall. The room was great, and they cooked delicious cookies to welcome us. I would highly recommend this spot. And- bonus!- it's within walking distance of Dark Horse Brewing Company.

  • Very lovely home in historic district of Marshall, Mi. The room and bathroom were very nice and clean. The interaction with the host family and other guest was very nice. Michelle made sure we felt at home during our week-end stay. We would love to stay here again when we come back to Marshall, Mi. I would recommend this home highly.

  • Our favourite Michigan spot, this home is stunning in its architecture and was the perfect way to end a 10 province/state journey. The photos under-sell this spot! The room was very comfortable with views of the beautiful backyard and pool, was very private and despite our late arrival, Michelle made us feel very welcome. We made use of the pool, explored the historic town of Marshall (Michelle provides great maps, brochures, etc.) and had great meals (and beer) at the Dark Horse Brewery (walking distance).

We had a great dinner with family on our last night there and Michelle was kind enough to give us all a tour of the house. She is a wonderful host and we would recommend this spot to anyone!

    Thank you, Michelle!

  • We absolutely loved staying at Michelle's home. It was so cute with so much History. She gave us a tour and we were smitten!! The entire town feels like it popped out of the movies. We both felt like we got a second little honeymoon. next time we'll bring our swimsuits! Michelle was very accommodating. She offered us coffee and breakfast every morning and had pamphlets and personal advice to help us around the town. I'd love to visit again!!

  • Michelle's beautiful home was a wonderful rest from a long month of travelling. She and her family are very nice and making staying convenient and fun. This is easily the nicest home I've stayed at on Air BnB really a great place and family.

  • Michelle and Bob had a lovely home, and were so kind in welcoming us. We had a wonderful tour of the property and just thoroughly enjoyed how much care they had taken in bringing their historic home to life. LOVED the screen porch (enjoyed a little reading with a beverage) and our room and bathroom were comfortable and private. This was our first airbnb experience and Michelle definitely has set the expectation pretty high for us.

We are a family with a college age son at home. Husband is an engineer and I am a Weight Watchers leader. Our passion is restoring our historic home and we'd love to share it with you. Our style of hosting is we want to know if there's anything you need or questions you might have and then we'll leave you be. 5 things I can't live without: sitting on the screened porch on summer nights, lunch with a friend, sunglasses/handbags, strong coffee and Luxe lipstick by Lancome. My favorite travel destination was Turkey. My next trip planned is to London.
