About this listing
This charming architect-owned and fully re-modelled craftsman cottage is located on Electric Ave within the most desirable pocket of Venice Beach. Steps to Abbot Kinney, a short walk or bike ride to the Rose restaurants and just 4 blocks to the beach, there is honestly no better place to experience Venice. The house sits in a beautiful lush tropical garden with mango, cherimoya, cherry and guava trees -- there is an stone outdoor firepit and amazing deck under the umbrella of a huge date palm tree that is exceptional for entertaining or use as your own outdoor living space. What's more, the house has two parking spaces secured by an electronic gate - something that you will find very valuable on weekends, in the summer, and especially on First Fridays when parking is in high demand in the area.
The house features two bedrooms, a two-sided gas fireplace, sky-lighted kitchen, a very large bathroom accessible to both bedrooms, two televisions with Direct TV, a full sized brand new washer & dryer, wireless internet and a large extremely comfortable sofa that could sleep an additional 5th guest. We also are able to offer a Graco Pack 'n' Play baby basinet for parents traveling with babies & toddlers. FInally, there are two beach cruisers available to our guests to ride around town and cruise the boardwalk on!
When you stay at Electric Ave we'll leave you with a full list and map of all the insider's tips - best restaurants to eat at, where to go for a drink, where to shop, bike rentals, bike routes, local grocery stores, and so much more. We also live only 5 minutes away so we are easily available and accessible should any issues arise or to help make your stay more comfortable.
We hope you'll enjoy our home as much as we do! It's a very special place.

Cayley is a fantastic host - super responsive with great local restaurant recommendations. I stayed here with a few girlfriends and the space was perfect for our weekend getaway - loved the outdoor space. Location to Abbott Kinney boutiques, bars, and restaurants and leisurely walks to the canals and beach could not have been more perfect. Would love to return!
Great location and nice apartment. The outdoor space was especially pleasant - we had meals outside every night and used the fire pit. Only gripe is that the dishwasher didn't really work, so most of the dishes were dirty and had to be cleaned when we arrived. Also had to buy trash bags because the host didn't provide any.
Cayley home was so welcoming and comfortable. The design and decor was super cute and the backyard is perfect for an afternoon bbq. The house is in a prime local to Abbott Kinney and the beach/Venice Boardwalk -- minutes walk from both. The beds are very comfortable and shower is great too. Gated driveway parking spot made it very easy during a holiday weekend. I highly recommend this house. It's exactly as described and pictured. Thanks Cayley for your quick responses during our stay!
We enjoyed every day at this beautiful home. It is stylish, modern and had a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. We like to cook a lot and the kitchen has all the right equipment. We stayed there with two little kids, the one year old had to be watched a bit because there are stairs on the patio but the three year old really enjoyed exploring the patio and fire place site.
The neighborhood is fantastic to just walk around, work out, shop or go to some great restaurants and cafes. Abbot Kinney Road is just 1 min away. Everyone seems very chilled and friendly.
Carey was great to respond quickly and always helpful.
It was a great first experience in Venice and would recommend it to anyone wanting to relax in a beautiful place and exploring the surroundings.
Loved the neighborhood, always give access to some hip coffee shops, stores, galleries as well as the Venice Beach scene if you like that.
The home is a small oasis in the hipness of Abbott Kinney and an intimate experience for guests who are California dreaming. Downsize, simplify, share, in a cool home for a week away from life.
This is one of the best Airbnb's that we've stayed in. The location is perfect for exploring Venice, the outdoor space is great for hanging out, and the decor is fun and cozy.
One thing to note is that the space is smaller than the pictures make it seem.
