We felt VERY welcome as Sonja's apartment. A great experience overall.! The rooms were cozy and felt like home.
Sonja was very welcoming and made us feel right at home. The house was even better than the photos. Lots of light. The most comfortable bed. And a delicious block of Wisconsin cheese. The location is perfect in a lovely neighborhood and s short walk to downtown Madison with tons of restaurants and shops.
Lovely home, great location, terrific host! Would definitely come back.
We had a great stay at Sonja's place. Everything was as described in the listing. We stayed in both teh 3rd floor apartment and the little private cottage. Super clean place and the beds were so comfortable. We easily walked to the Capital area (farmers market was great) several times. It's less than a mile walk from this area where you'll find fabulous places to eat and be entertained. We have family that lives in Madison so we plan to stay in Sonja's place again when visiting. So much better than hotels!
We could not have asked for a better location. And the space was lovely--a large living room, thoughtfully equipped galley kitchen, and sleeping space that easily accommodated the 3 of us. (Our teenage daughter LOVED the turret room.) We also appreciated the access to the lake through the garden. Sonja and Jim were never intrusive but always welcoming and helpful whenever we had a question.
The house was beautiful, and in a beautiful location. Everything was as described and Sonja was very nice.
This was our second stay in Sonja's home and it was just as beautiful as we remembered it. The location is wonderful (walking distance to downtown, the capitol, UW campus) and the amenities are great. We especially love how child-friendly this home is (everything from providing a crib, stroller, high chair, toys, to diapers and organic baby shampoo in the bathroom.) Sonja and Jim are wonderful hosts and we really enjoyed seeing them again!
We don't have any guests that stay in the main house except for the third floor; sorry you got that impression. We do also rent the little guest house in the back yard; but that is completely private, they don't use any part of the main house.
Again, thank you for your stay. Hope Patrick is better now. :)
