Guest Access

There is a kitchen, bathroom and a HUGE living area all at your disposal. Your room has a SUPER COMFY memory foam mattress, armoire to hang clothing, and clean towels provided. There is also cash operated laundry on the floor in case you need to wash anything during your stay.

Interaction with Guests

There are 3 rooms rented on AirBnB in this apartment so you will be sharing it with me and other guests. This is so much fun! We often end up with an eclectic group from all over the world coming together for coffee in the morning and drinks around the neighborhood.

The Neighborhood

Williamsburg is the best! You will be right around the corner from vintage boutiques, Michelin restaurants, nightlife, a thriving music scene, food trucks and great transit options, from the water taxi to streets easily traveled by foot.

Getting around

The Rocket Factory is located 2 blocks from the entrance to the Williamsburg Bridge, so if you are biking(bike rentals 1 block away) or driving you are literally minutes from Manhattan. You will also be 1 stop from Manhattan by either the L train or the JMZ subway lines.

Some neighborhood highlights include:

Peter Luger Steakhouse – World Famous and rated NY #1 steakhouse for 30 years. 3 blocks away.

  • I had a great experience in New York, in Williamsburg and yes, at julians place. It all added up. His place couldn't be more perfectly placed in W'burg just off Bedford and Berry. It made the whole experience just a little easier - especially if the thing you end up doing is hanging around in this vibrant area for most of your holidays. I spent nearly everyday here!

The apartment itself is artsy, spacious, quirky and colourful. The rooms are good value for money and had everything I needed - towels were provided, air conditioning worked, shower was good, etc. The rooms are quite stacked together but hey - like I said, it's value for money. And you know you'll be sharing the apartment beforehand.

Julian was a great host, he was quick to communicate, clear and prepared everything for me to have a very comfortable experience. He's a very nice guy and he gave some excellent tips in the area!

I would definitely recommend this place!

  • As Julian wasn't in town when we arrived his roommate Alex took care of us. He is an absolutely open minded and helpful person. you can ask him anything about the area and he will tell you about the hotspots.
the loft was located conveniently in the heart of williamsburg. we could reach everything by foot.
the apartment was okay. you always have to have in mind that you are not staying in a hotel but in a house. the loft was not super super clean but okay. bedroom was small but we just slept in that room. also we didn't use the kitchen. bathroom was okay also, of course not too fancy but one could take a shower without any problems.
the guys in this apartment rent out more than just one room. so be aware that there might be up to 5 more people in the loft. especially in the bathroom i can be a bit hectic.
overall it was a nice experience for us. for young people it is the perfect way to experience williamsburg. for, let's say, over 30ies a hotel might be more appropriate because of privacy and service. but again: nice people, super located. thumbs up!

  • Julien went out of town and I was met by his roommate Alex who was super helpful, laid back and nice. I had to arrive late and they worked with me for my late arrival, making sure all was order with no worries or hassles. Everything was as Julien described. There are three rooms total that they rent out and the other guests had already gone out for the night. It was clean with a dorm-like feel to it, a little funky and fun. The bed was cozy and the room I was given, though not spacious was perfect. They do have a cat which was no problem for me.

  • Great location, very nice space. I had such a good time there. Not as long as I wanted... If you are looking for a real Williamsburg experience, don't miss it.

One more thing: Julian is that kind of person who was born to receive people. And even better, he can solve any single problem during your stay.

  • Julian was a great host. His place was clean, spacious and quiet (which was nice after being out and about all day and night). This location is a block away from Bedford Ave, which has tons of fun bars, restaurants, and boutiques. This location is also a short walk from the L train, and only one stop away from Manhattan which provides quick access to getting in and out of the city. It is also located near the water which provides awesome views as well. We will definitely be back!

About
I own/run a production company making films for clients from their home media and about their life experiences. Jolly, laid back, and open minded (closed to close mindedness). I enjoy thoughts and discussions in the hypothetical. In a nutshell I prefer "why not" to "why" On another note, I think cereal is humanity's high water mark, and I mean that in the most complimentary fashion.
