We just did a comprehensive energy retrofit, so the house is fully insulated and cozy in the cold months, cool in the warm months. We live here and only rent the house when we are out of town, including most school vacations. We have a 2-year old, so the house is generally childproof. There is a crib, high chairs, toys, books, etc. We have high speed wireless internet, but no TV. There is a phone with unlimited domestic long distance.
There is a fully functional kitchen (no dishwasher), and a large vegetable and herb garden for your enjoyment. The house is chemical free and beds have organic cotton sheets. Quiet, very safe neighborhood accessible to everything you could want in the San Francisco Bay Area-- San Francisco nightlife or hiking in Marin-- both 20-30 minutes by car.
no smoking, no pets
We chose this house because it was so near our son's home that we could walk back and forth. Our host immediately picked up on that and I felt we were dealing with someone we almost already knew. The house was comfortable and was well represented by the photos and written description on the website. There were no surprises and it met our needs entirely. The host provided a useful list of additional information on how things worked. The one thing we would suggest is the addition of a bench or luggage racks for your suitcases while you are there.
We really enjoyed our stay! The home is very comfortable and has a wonderful back yard, garden and deck. We enjoyed several meals outside in the sunshine. Betony was a wonderful host. She was very responsive and easy to work with. I would certainly ask to stay there again.
