We have a large, unique house in the heart of South Austin just off of South First Street and close to Ben White (US 290W/71). With downtown only 3 miles away and vibrant South Congress and South First Streets mere blocks away, everything is easily accessible. The airport and Formula 1 (F1) track are also only 9 miles away.
There are two great bus routes which service our area and run all over town including downtown. One is a 2 minute walk from our door and another is an 8 minute walk away.
We also are offering the use of our two standard bicycles and one lock while you stay- cycling is a fantastic way to see the city!
You'll enjoy your own private room with all linens provided, and a guest bathroom which may be shared with another guest.
The spacious bedroom has a queen sized bed, two night stands and plenty of closet space. It also includes its own private side door entrance. The bathroom has a Jacuzzi bathtub, shower and plenty of storage space for your things. We will provide fresh clean sheets, towels and hand towels during your stay.
If you have any questions or want to know more about Austin, we are very friendly and would be glad to help. We can recommend things for you to do and places to go if you need them, or we'll leave you in peace if you have everything figured out. All in all, we hope you enjoy your stay in Austin! It's a great place to be!
Ashley, Nick and the other roomies were all very friendly, easy going and respectful. They were happy to have us join them or let us do our own thing. The house is nice with a very unusual kitchen which has the most awesome cupboards....... There are bus links nearby and a great Taco shop within walking distance.
Basically a good, affordable option.
Couldn't ask for better hosts. Really relaxed comfortable vibe in the house.
The room is great too plenty of space and privacy if that's what you desire, but you will probably want to be out exploring Austin. Which is easy to do from here, you can get a couple of different buses that get you to downtown and sixth street in 20 minutes and cost $1 or ride a bike, a cab from the eastern side of sixth street (less frat boy pubs and shooters and more hip kinda dive bars) if you're too drunk to ride a bike or get a bus, will cost you $20.
Really great air bnb experience, hope to see these guys in Australia soon!
Due to a little hotel mix up I was scrambling to find a place for the evening. Ashley responded quickly & had the room ready for me in no time, even after another guest. Very clean place! Her cats were super friendly and well behaved. About a 15$ cab ride from 6th street. If you need a bus, its right at the end of the street. Would say there in the future!
This place was comfortable and Ashley and Nick made me feel right at home. Thanks guys!
Ashley and Nick were two incredibly friendly and personable people. So was their roommate Ben. They made me and my friend's stay in Austin so much better. I can't wait to visit Austin again, I know exactly where I'll be staying.
Ashley and her roommates were very welcoming, easygoing and friendly. We are planning to relocate from Boston, and they offered a lot of helpful advice about rental prices and neighborhoods. I loved the house as well; the kitchen cabinets were hand-carved with a floral design and they had chickens in the back yard. The location was convenient and we always had a place to park.
Ashley was super and helped us out with a last minute reservation after another airbnb place unexpectedly cancelled on us. She even offered us a discount as she said the room wasn't up to her usually prepared standards. I couldn't tell. It was perfect!
She wasn't home when we arrived, but her housemates were equally kind and helpful. The room was comfortable, very clean and much appreciated. We had a friend driving us, so I am not sure of the bus/walking situation, but it was certainly a neighborhood setting. Quiet and residential.
Her housemate and I have a mutual friend which is weird considering the distance between Texas and Oregon. Small world.
Thanks again, Ashley. We'll stay again if ever down your way in the future.
Ashley and Nick were great hosts and were very friendly. Their house was indeed very lovely! It was very easy to get to downtown by bus, breakfast and wifi was provided, the bathroom was nicer than a lot of hotels I have been to, and the bed was very comfy =)
Overall, I had a great time staying here and I would highly recommend it.
