Steven and Cindy were great hosts. They went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable during my stay. I recommend the pineapple house to everyone looking at staying in Pahoa.
Steven nous a accueillis avec le sourire! C'était un merveilleux hôte. Nous avons dormi bercés par la musique des grenouilles! Il nous a servi un bon café le matin, c'était apprécié!
The accomodation was nice, clean and in a nice area. The house is surrounded by forrest with lots of frogs and birds, which indeed make up a nice orchester. I felt welcome.
Steven and Cindy were friendly respectful hosts. Cindy even welcomed us with cookies! Steve was kind enough to show us on the map places we definitely needed to stop and check out. Good conversation. This place is quite off the beaten path, but private and tucked away. Close enough to town to enjoy the local shops amd restaurants.
Everything as described and even more nice! Steven was great and positive host and even when we didn't meet yet he already wrote some tips where to go..house in the middle of forest/jungle, comfortable bed and cup of tea in the morning made it perfect. Thank you!
Steven is an excellent host, and an engaging conversationalist, willing to visit about any topic you wish. He is a great listener, and very polite. His style is to allow his guest to set the level of social interaction and then to work with it. It was incredibly refreshing to not feel pressured to interact if I simply did not feel like it that day.
The home is easy to find, and is very private and secluded. The only noise is the rain and the frogs.
Pineapple house is a nice clean comfortable house in a tropical forest setting. This is a great location to see the sights around Pahoa and the volcano. Steven is a nice friendly host wih local insight to recomend nearby sights
