Steven is an excellent host, and an engaging conversationalist, willing to visit about any topic you wish. He is a great listener, and very polite. His style is to allow his guest to set the level of social interaction and then to work with it. It was incredibly refreshing to not feel pressured to interact if I simply did not feel like it that day.
The home is easy to find, and is very private and secluded. The only noise is the rain and the frogs.
Pineapple house is a nice clean comfortable house in a tropical forest setting. This is a great location to see the sights around Pahoa and the volcano. Steven is a nice friendly host wih local insight to recomend nearby sights
Steve was a great host, enjoyed my stay. Steve made sure that I had what ever I needed even let me use his snorkel and mask so I got to see some pretty neat aquatic life
Steven is a very nice guy. He has introduced us many good tips in Pahoa. The house is very very nice! Even better than the pics in Airbnb. Birds can wake you up in the morning. While in the evening the rainforest's smell can make u sleep quite well.
This was my very 1st airbnb experience. Steven was a wonderful & gracious host. I loved his place! It was sooooo peaceful and relaxing. He was so helpful with info in regards to getting around and trying a few places I hadn't heard about. I would definitely rebook! :)
A very nice place to stay in. I had a rental car and a gps app on my phone so getting there was very easy. Loved the spacious room as well as the well equipped kitchen. There was coffee and Steven makes the best smoothies ever. He's helpful with everything. The house is close to shops, Hilo and volcano national park (driving). If you like secluded places in the rain forest to totally be able to relax (while still connected to the outside world by wifi) you should definitely come here.
Steve is a simple guy and pretty much leaves you alone. The place is well equipped, clean and out in the middle of nowhere (very peaceful). This is a great location to use if you plan on visiting the volcano. Thank you Steve for making my stay a pleasant one.
