Alessandro's house is awesome! Alessandro is friendly and caring! There are good restaurants nearby, a short walk in the morning there are markets. Benny Chia Square and very close, a very good street visit Rome. Tram, you can go directly to the bus. room very pleasant! I want to go home again :)
Alessandro was a great host and gave us all information regarding arrival, rome, local restaurants, public transport...
Alessandro was a wonderful host! My husband and I were warmly received and picked up at the train station and after settling in to our room, we even went out to have dinner together. He gave us a detailed map and great ideas of places for us to visit in Rome. All of his recommendations were spot-on!! On our last day, he drove us to the train station very early in the morning, helped us buy tickets and even accompanied us to the platform. Alessandro is the perfect host and a true gentleman!!
The room was decorated beautifully and exactly as you see in the pictures. It was clean and tidy when we arrived. The kitchen (although we didn't use it) was fully equipped and there was a little information booth set up with maps, guides and brochures of things to do and places to visit in the city. Very well organized!!
We hope to visit Rome again soon and will definitely stay in touch. I can't recommend him highly enough!
Thank you so much, Alessandro, and we hope to see you again soon!
Alessandro made us feel welcome by picking us up from a metro station in downtown Rome (it was a short ride from our arrival train station). He was about twenty minutes late picking us up but was responsive to our messages so we weren't worried. Alessandro then took us for a short ride around the downtown area, showing us a few sights. He then swung by the tourism office for us to buy Roma passes (he asked if we'd like to do this and it was awful convenient so we had our passes for use the following day!). Alessandro then showed us how we'd take the public transportation system from his apartment to the center of Rome.
At the end of our stay he offered to drive us to the train station for us to take a train to the airport. Even though our flight was really early on Sunday morning! He picked us up on time at 6am.
All in all Alessandro was a wonderful host, he recommended several restaurants that all exceeded our expectations. The neighborhood by this apartment is fantastic, close to a bus stop, bakery right downstairs, and a delicious restaurant just an eight minute walk away.
I would highly recommend staying with Alessandro in Rome!
