This one bedroom + study is in the acclaimed renovation of the 1950s Rex Hotel. Located in Sydney's Potts Point, you can stroll the tree-lined streets down to Rushcutter's Bay and watch the boats on the harbour or bar-hop between Potts Point's award-winning bars and restaurants.
It has a brand new queen sized bed, a huge couch that someone would be very comfortable sleeping on (it's bigger than a single bed), washer and dryer, large sunny balcony with water glimpses, free unlimited wi-fi and stunning mid-century furnishings.
The building itself is one of the best in Sydney - it has a concierge, indoor pool, gym and excellent security. There are three supermarkets within a 3 minute walk so it's easy to stock up on groceries for your stay.
It's also a 3 minute walk to Kings Cross Station, where you can catch a 5 minute train straight into the CBD. There is also a bus stop right out the front of the building that has regular buses to Surry Hills and Circular Quay.
I usually live here alone but will be out of the country for just over a month in summer. This apartment is perfect for anyone wanting to spend the festive period in Sydney's loveliest suburb.
The apartment is perfectly situated to explore Sydney. Although we never met the contact and communication with Torie was very good. She even wrote a guide with lots of useful and helpful advice and insider information. If ever I come back to Sydney I would like to stay there again.
We stayed at Torie's place for 5 days over NYE. The apt is really nice and well equipped. Torie was very welcoming and we felt like home. The apt is nicely located; we could walk pretty much everywhere: the Rocks, Surry Hills, Darlinghurst (20-30 minute walk to each of these places). Overall, great experience! Oh, and thanks for recommending Shady Pines. We loved it!
