A beautiful quiet bedroom in our welcoming beach house is waiting for you!

Located just 40 minute train ride into the Melbourne CBD you can enjoy the best of both city and sea on arguably Melbourne's best beach. The house is right on the beach with incredible views of the water from the living room and outdoor deck. Note: There are no beach views from the bedroom itself, the views are only from shared areas of the house including living room, dining room and patio.
If you want a room with a full view of the beach then please see our other listing.

The room has a double bed so can fit two guests but it is a small room. This is an ideal room for a solo traveller or a budget couple.

The room:
- Double bed (super comfy) all linen and towels provided.
- Drawers to store your clothes
- A desk and desk chair
- The room is a smaller but still has ample space to accommodate two people.
-Bathroom is shared, there is a bath to soak those tired limbs after exploring our wonderful city.
For those who love Nature there is also the Edithvale wetlands with walking tracks for bird watching and catching site of the odd kangaroo

You will also enjoy
-FREE WIFI internet access
- Use of the 2 kayaks if you feel like a paddle
-Beach chairs and beach towels for relaxing on the beach
- Make yourself at home in the living area and kitchen downstairs. You can cosy up by the open fire in the wintertime.
- A huge library of books to read while relaxing on the back deck or on the beach.

Downstairs is open plan living with kitchen, six seater dining table, comfy linen sofas, large tv screen and air conditioning.
Kitchen has double refrigerator and dishwasher and ample room to store your own groceries.
Laundry and powder room also down stairs
Bedrooms and bathrooms are upstairs.

The room is located in Aspendale (a bayside suburb of Melbourne). The apartment is 1970's beach house with an eclectic beachy feel. The apartment is directly opposite the train station and it is an easy 40 minute train ride into the CBD. The beauty of this apartment is you will enjoy great views of the beach when you're sitting on the patio, you're on one of Melbourne's best swimming beaches and it's an easy train commute into town to go sightseeing. There's even an all night bus if you want to head into town to party the night away.
The peninsula airport bus drives right out the front of our place so you can get door to door transport - too easy! There is also car parking available if you happen to have a car.

There are great cafes and restaurants within walking distance and also a supermarket for groceries or a post office to send a letter home.

  • It was great staying at Eloise and Suzie’s beach apartment. What a way to spend Australia day! With a shared barbecue in the back yard and watching a beautiful sunset while relaxing on the deck. I took out one of the kayaks and the water is so clear you can see the sand at the bottom. Very lovely, clean beach for swimming would highly recommend.

The room was ample for my needs and the whole apartment spotlessly clean and I was provided with fresh linen and towels. The hosts really take pride in their home and have a creative and unique design style - you really must see it, the photos just don't do it justice!

The apartment is really beautiful and as soon as you walk in the door you get the wow factor! The house is literally right on the beach with amazing views of the sea from the living room and kitchen. The back deck is the best place to chill out in the hammock chair or use your laptop while watching the water. The house has a very relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and is beautifully decorated, I cannot recommend highly enough and will definitely be back again!

Suzie and Eloise also took me to their favourite breakfast spot in Mordialloc and we had a delicious breakfast and what could possibly be the best coffee in Melbourne! There's also handy shops and a supermarket just across the road.

Thanks Suzie and Eloise for sharing your space, home, ideas and making me feel a part of your family.

  • We have stayed with several airBNB hosts and they were all great in running an amateur bed & breakfast! Compared to these former experiences, in our eyes, Susy -Eloise unfortunately doesn’t live in this house- didn’t do a good job in taking 'care' of her guests.

She's not cleaning as good as she needs to be, when you have 5 people living in the house, and a dog running around. Especially not when you're so close to the beach.

Next to that, the house was a constant mess and in poor state. For example, after a shower all electricity broke down and we weren’t able to use our own bathroom anymore. Therefore we shared one bathroom with 5 people, including another couple and the host.

After an argument we left the house three days prior to our check-out. Eloise handled our dispute with great care and gave as a refund.

We are sorry for this critical note, but in the sum of things, this experience is not of the standard that we are used to, here on AirBNB.

    Response from Suzie And Eloise:

What a shame to see such a vengeful review. The guests were actually asked to pack up and leave our property early on account of being demanding, aggressive and swearing at the host.
As can be seen from previous reviews we have been complimented many times on the way we take care of our guests. The property is cleaned continually and the room is cleaned thoroughly between guests. No other guests have indicated any concerns regarding cleanliness.
The room has a shared bathroom and it was never suggested that this guest would have their own private bathroom. As for the shower, we don't know what happened in there while it was being used by the guest but the bathroom was flooded. This came as a great surprise as the bathroom was in continual use before the guests arrived and is still being used by our current guests without any problems or leaks!

  • We enjoyed our two weeks spent at the beach house. Eloise and Susan were very friendly and helpful.

The room and the house were great and the dog (Jackson) was awesome and funny.

  • We stayed 3 nigths in the house front of the beach! It's really near to the water and a beautiful place.
We were happy to stay with Eloise and Suzie and here lovely dog! In this place all was so uncomplicated, we were at home immediatly.
    The coffee is too good!

  • We stayed at the place for one week during the Christmas time and had a great relaxed time with Suzie and another guest. Felt like at home. Also we did not expect the free breakfast which was perfect.
It was always clean and we had enough space and a comfortable bed.

Dog Jackson is great, relaxed and very friendly, just like Suzie:-)

Also it is a perfect spot for Wind- and Kitesurfing, if you bring your own gear (U should have at least Kitelevel 4 or higher, Spot is not crowded like St.Kilda) .

GREAT VIEW with beautiful Sunset in the evening!

  • Eloise is a great host and the house is just right by the beach. We love sitting and dinning at the balcony looking out at the sea and hear the sound of the waves. The beach is easily accessible through the back door. The hosts are very friendly and share the grill with us to BBQ one of the evenings. Eloise also sharing good tips about parking near the city. The very friendly dog, Jackson will always greet us whenever we come into the house. We had a wonderful time staying there.

  • The stay here in Aspendale, Melbourne right on the beach has been incredible and is beautiful. The perfect set up for spending the days at the beach or venturing into the city, with the knowledge of being back at your very own holiday beach house every evening is superb. The house, room and amenities have been excellent, with the added bonus of barbecues as the sun set's. Very clean and tidy comfortable living.
The host's Eloise and Suzie are wonderful, they made me feel at home immediately, like family. So accommodating and helpful with a love for life and being by the ocean. Jaxon (Dog) also deserves a mention as he is the most placid, calm, friendliest dog I know, very quite and never barks.
An absolute please to have stayed here, and for next years Sail Melbourne I will definitely be back.
