This is a comfortable, good-sized room in a very clean, sunny, well-maintained home built in 1900. Miles of trails are accessible right across the street, and you can easily walk to the town center from here. Downtown Concord, with lots of nice shops and restaurants, is just 15 minutes away, and we're an hour from the White Mountains in one direction and the beach in another.
The room available is on the second floor of the house. We have an occasional housemate who lives in another room upstairs, but she's rarely here. We mostly stay on the first floor, so chances are you'll have the upstairs to yourself - that includes the bedroom, bathroom and a large, bright sitting room. We did a major renovation up there last year so everything is fresh and clean!
We're young professionals who spend lots of time outside, riding bikes and running trails and messing around in the garden. We cook (and eat) a lot and are happy to make you breakfast and snacks if you like.
We have a small, very sweet dog who doesn't shed or cause allergic reactions, and he'll stay out of your way if you want him to.
We had a lovely one-night stay at Maura and Brian's house. Their house is cozy, clean, and welcoming. They were very accomodating, allowed us to use the internet, and we were treated with a bottle of wine in the room. We highly recommend this cozy place!
We had a wonderful three night stay at Maura's house! Because they were leaving town for the weekend we had a short visit but they gave us all the information we needed via email and a note at the house. The house is very clean, comfortable, and spacious. While we only had our breakfasts at the house, they welcomed us to use their kitchen which has everything you need. They also shared their internet with us which was helpful as we needed to do some work. The house is not in town but it was an easy 10-15 minute drive into Concord. We will be back to visit again!
We stayed over at Maura's for a short night--late arrival, early departure--en route from Vermont to Boston. I regretted ours wasn't a more leisurely stay since the place was so lovely and restful and Maura was the ideal hostess. Her home is attractive, somewhat rustic, and very clean and orderly. Maura is quite friendly. I felt completely comfortable. To my delight, I discovered cookies and fruit and wine in our room. Maura offered coffee and, had we not left so early, would have provided a light breakfast. I highly recommend.
I must say Brian & Maura were one of the warmest hosts we've come across in the airbnb.com community. Their kind and easy going way of life is felt the moment you step into their beautiful home- we felt right at home with them. The room itself was very comfortable, we slept quite well. We were also offered lovely breakfast in the morning- Maura is a great baker and you might just be lucky to taste one of her creations. The house was also very easy to get to and close to plenty of convenience- convenience stores, laundromat and a lovely italian restaurant called Tomato. Overall, our experience was fantastic & we highly recommend staying with this wonderful couple!
