My home is the top flat of the top house at the top of the steepest residential street in England, (reputedly!) and on the roof terrace the views of Bristol and beyond are immense. The main bedroom has a very comfortable new memory foam mattress with a double bed The sleeping area is a perfect small loft full of white linen with a beautiful, bright, light sky view and a spot to store your things. The living area downstairs is an open plan kitchen, table and lounge - all with light and bright views of Bristol. And the spacious bathroom includes toilet and shower over bath. The style of the apartment is vintage beach hut with vertigo inducing views!
You can walk (10mins) from the train station and into town it takes 20 minutes, or a quick bus ride down the hill.Just around the corner is Arnos Vale 50 acre cemetery, which is lovely for a walk, is vibrant and full of wildlife or a guided walk.
There is an excellent cafe, Moroccan restaurant and local amenities close by and Totterdown is a very friendly and picturesque neighrbourhood. The first Bristol Arts Trail was started in Totterdown so the area is very creative and vibrant. My local, The Oxford, is a brilliant local music venue which it combines with knitting, darts and poker nights!
Included is towels, fresh linen, tea, coffee, continental breakfast, wireless internet and easy parking.
As a relative newcomer to Bristol I can pass on tips of places and areas that will delight. I love travelling and look forward to vicariously doing that by you visiting! The location and bespoke interior decor really make this space a classic bnb experience!
I allow smoking on the roof terrace only and expect a respectful attitude towards my home-tidiness is much appreciated and any mess/breakages mended. many thanks
Me and a friend stayed in Helen's flat for four nights whilst in Bristol for an art event. The flat is cozy and light. We especially loved the roof terrace. Totterdown is a nice and quiet neighbourhood and from Helen's flat not only can you see most of Totterdown but also the rest of Bristol. It's a shortish walk to the station and not that much further to town. We enjoyed dinner at the Thali Cafe and also at Banco Cafe, both in the neighbourhood. As we rented the entire flat we never met Helen in person, but communication was great and Helen was always quick to respond to any questions. The only thing that could be improved is the level of cleanliness, it was a bit dusty and the shower curtain was rather mildewed. However, the bedroom and sleeping snug were fresh, clean and comfortable. Great place for exploring Bristol and surrounding area.
This place is charming and cosy. I met Helen briefly and she
seemed very nice. We arrived a bit early and had to wait for Helen
to prepare things-our original train was heavily delayed so
I had to get the next available train and Helen wasn't quite ready
for us. The flat is homely and comfortable. Amazing views
of Bristol and a good base.
We stayed in Helen's flat for Christmas with three kids who had never spent Christmas away from home before. The space is perfect for family, or just for spending time together, and even though the flat is quite small, every inch of the space is usable so it's actually a lot better than some much bigger places I can think of. It's warm (in all senses of the word), comfortable and the views across the city are just amazing. Helen made us feel very welcome and was available to make sure everything was OK throughout our stay on the other end of the phone. We had a great time.

I love to travel and I love being settled in the great city of Bristol. I recently changed careers from organic farmer to horticultural therapist, designing vegetable production areas for adults with learning difficulties and supporting them to have beneficial and positive experiences in the outdoors. I am very happy with the change of emphasis in my work life but my dog, Tui, although aged 13, is less keen as she has to stay home and can only dream of her previous life romping around a 50 acre farm! My son Jake stays with me on a Friday night and Saturdays generally involve lego and, well, lego. We also go to the SS great Britain and the zoo, alot. You may also catch a passing glimpse of my girlfriend who visits at the weekend from her course at RADA. We love our local(s) and the relaxed Bristol scene, of which there is everything to meet all requirements, within a totally palatable distance. I love the old man ale pubs with jazz on a Sunday afternoon and the circus scene and how many people cycle in the city and ALOT of other things about Bristol, which I will happily enthuse with you about. I am a relaxed host.
