Welcome to The Container Retreat @ 290 Wine Trail! The perfect place to stay as you explore the beautiful Texas Hill Country and it's amazing wineries, parks, shops and people. We are happy to share our special getaway with you and truly hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
The space
We have now converted containers #11, #12 & #13 to be dog friendly. They are a bit larger and further away from the other containers so they are more conducive for a positive experience for all guests. Containers #1 - #10 will continue to only allow our human guests. Dogs must be crate trained and in the crate whenever left in the container alone (but let's face it, your gonna want your dog to be with you as you are out and about). All dogs must be on leash when not in the container and guests are required to pick up all dog waste or be assessed a $50 fee. Please dispose of your doggie bags in the dumpster and not in the container. Our standard fee will be $35 per pet, per visit, maximum of two dogs and a maximum weight of 50 pounds each. If you plan to have the dogs on any furniture, please bring your own blanket for them to lay on.
This unit is a 40' shipping container that has been converted into a tiny home in the heart of the Texas Hill Country complete with one bedroom with a queen sized bed, full bath with walk-in shower, kitchenette with mini fridge and microwave, dining table and Queen sized Murphy bed in the living room. The peace and tranquility is amazing and we are right in the middle of over 50 Texas Hill Country wineries. We have three within walking distance that you can begin to enjoy as you settle in: Blue Lotus Winery and Silver Dollar Winery to the east and Untamed to the west. So whether you are looking for a quick getaway or a home base while you attend one of the many festivals and events in the surrounding areas, we are the right choice.
Guest access
Our 40' containers are arranged in pods of four surrounding majestic oak trees and lush landscaping with just enough ambient lighting to make it relaxing and comfortable. If you want to hang out, just walk over to the common area where you will find open space, picnic tables, grills, giant beer pong, wooden tower game, ring games, chairs, a hammock and our custom Container Retreat cornhole boards. Because we want to preserve our beautiful oak trees, we do not currently offer a fire pit.
Other things to note
Our mattresses were custom handmade locally from Cantwell Mattress in San Antonio. These mattresses are made in Texas with 100% All-Natural Cotton sourced in Texas.
Our shampoo, conditioner and body wash are made with 100% Pure Morocco Argan Oil and are 100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free. In addition, our hand soap is made with essential oils, aloe vera, olive oil, and without parabens, phthalates or artificial colors. We have provided everything you need in our kitchenette, including a corkscrew and wine pourer to enjoy your Texas Hill Country wine.
Couples getaway, check! Girls weekend, check! Bachelor or Bachelorette parties, check! Whatever the occasion, we are the right choice. We have twelve other listing and can accommodate groups of up to thirty two.
