With many updates, this beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath private home is cozy yet spacious and perfect for a family vacation or getaway. Plenty of space under the house for having a picnic, fishing the tidal canal, playing and parking. The outdoor shower is really nice. An outdoor grill is not furnished but you're welcome to bring your own.
A furnished and fully organized kitchen offers everything you need during your stay. The open concept living area flows to the kitchen and dining. The new L-shaped sofa is super comfy. Unique leather recliner/rockers.
We offer a full size high-efficiency washer & dryer, Cable TV’s in the living room and bedrooms. Free WiFi for our guests. BluRay player.

The popular Garden City Beach Pier is fun for the whole family and only one mile from the house. The pier is a great spot to fish, has frequent live music and an arcade. Within walking distance from the pier you'll find restaurants, ice cream parlors and shops.
Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside village known as the 'Seafood Capital of South Carolina'. While in town, also visit the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk, a half-mile long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning seafood and barbecue restaurants.
We're conveniently located to retail stores, the best golf courses along the Strand, entertainment attractions, charter fishing, water sports…and of course, good food and relaxation.
A car is recommended.
Golf cart rentals and bicycle rentals are available from local businesses and are a plus for traveling from the cottage to the pier area.
We're 14 miles south of Myrtle Beach International Airport.

Our cottage offers plenty of parking.
Swimming, surfing, fishing, sea kayaking, boogie boarding, hiking, cycling, beach-combing and exploring the tide pools are all steps away from our cottage. A mile down the road is the Garden City Fishing Pier where you can fish or just set back and relax. Listen to the ocean's waves or live entertainment.
A quick 5 minute drive south will take you to Murrells Inlet, fondly known as the Seafood Capital of South Carolina. Offering over 100+ restaurants to suite any taste and budget. Completing your excursion south you will find popular attractions such as Brookgreen Gardens, Huntington Beach State Park, watersports, boat rentals, shopping and cafés.
Twenty minutes away you can golf at several top rated courses along the Lowcountry.
Take a day trip to many of the Myrtle Beach attractions... only a 30 minute drive north.
There is so much to do and see in and around Garden City Beach. Whether it is exploring the surrounding area or just enjoying a quiet beach getaway, our cottage is the place for you.

If our rental appears dirty or damaged upon check-in, guest shall inform us immediately by reporting any issues. No notification is your approval that our property meets your expectations.
COTTAGE RULES AND REGULATIONS
Cottage occupants are expected to help maintain the high standards of cleanliness and conduct that has become a Calhoun cottage tradition. In order to maintain these standards, a few rules and regulations for the comfort and well-being of all our Guests have been established.
NO CREDITS OR REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED FOR EARLY CHECKOUTS.
Keys should be left inside the Cottage upon departure. Lost or keys not returned will be charged a replacement fee. Lock-outs will be charged by a Locksmith or a comparable fee by property management.
House Parties are Not Allowed:
The person making the reservation shall be held liable for any damage to the property; its contents or surroundings.
The furnishings are not to be moved or rearranged.
The hanging of towels, blankets, rugs, etc. from the porch rails is not permitted. A clothesline is under the house.
Our property is Non Smoking.
Phone Service: Is not available in our unit.
Internet Service is furnished by the Owner.
Grilling is NOT permitted on the porch. We do not furnish outdoor grills.
Fireworks are not allowed at the property.
Concern for Others
Please observe our Quiet Hours Policy. General quiet hours are observed from 9:00 p.m. through 9:00 a.m.
Our rental is not pet friendly.
Furnishings/Equipment: Just like your own home, our homes can experience breakdowns. All efforts will be made to ensure that all equipment is in working order and that any problems are resolved as quickly as possible. Anything out of service should be reported to Sheila Joyner, Cell # (phone number hidden). Although repairs will be made as quickly as possible, no refunds will be made unless the situation deems necessary.
Items left behind: If you request, we will attempt to locate an item left behind and mail it to you. The cost of packaging and postage will be paid for by the Guest. Items not claimed after 30 days will be donated to charity.
Hurricane Season: June 1 – Nov. 30 is hurricane season. In the event the government orders a mandatory evacuation of the area; you will be issued a prorated rental refund for the dates of the evacuation. Provided the rental property is habitable and utilities are operating, you may return after the evacuation is lifted. If you decline to return, we will be unable to refund rent for those remaining days.
The management is not responsible for damages or loss of property through fire or theft.
