Erik is a nice guy, very helpful and hospitable. A little bit annoying is the key thing. You won't get your own key to the apartment and have to plan your day with your host. If you are not bothered by this Eriks flat is a nice and well situated place to stay in Bremen.
Quite good location in front of the central station. Building far from typical, but OK. The flat is part of a former office, and that gives him some charm. Decoration quite original and nice.
Erik welcomes you anytime you like, but, and that's the big question we want to point out: he won't give you the key, so you'll have to plan with him when you'll be back...and don't really feel at home.
Breakfast was OK, and Erik tries to communicate and make feel easy, so you can meet a real local!
Erik ist ein zuvorkommender Gastgeber und lässt es sich nicht nehmen dem Gast die Haustür zu jeder Tageszeit immer persönlich zu öffnen. Gute lage zum HBF und der City.
I had a nice experience at Erik's place, it is clean and right in front of the train station. He is super! The only weak point is that you cannot have the keys and even if Erik is incredibly kind it is not nice to not have the keys. I really liked staying there.
Erik was very kind and helpful. It has been my first airbnb experience and I have to say that it was very good. Also, the location of the apartment is right in front of the train station and very close to the city centre, which is very handy. The room and private bathroom were clean and confortable.
Communication with host Eric was a bit problematic, but in the end all worked out. You will definitely need a telephone that works in Germany. The location is ideal for those traveling by train and also just 10 minute to center of Old City. The room is large with totally private bath.
Okay, so let's start with the location. It's fabulous if you want to be in the centre of things in Bremen. Everything's a minute away. The room next - Really clean, compact, cosy and comfortable - exactly as promised.
Erik, the host, is a really sweet chap and even went out of his way avoiding cooking meat as I was a vegetarian. That was really amazing! He made fresh coffee and served bread and preserves for breakfast.
He is really funny with a quirky sense of humour and his full bag of tales! He helped me on more than one occasion as I did not know German, like buying train tickets or booking a city tour of Bremen or shopping. I had an very enjoyable evening watching the opera Die Fledermaus.
I plan to visit Bremen again soon enough as my son studies there and I definitely would love to stay again at Erik's.
My girlfriend and I stayed at Erik's for two nights and he was incredibly kind and attentive. Erik met us at Bremen central station and walked us to the apartment (literally, across the street!). The room was very tidy with ensuite bathroom (shower and WC), and a comfortable double bed.
The apartment is perfectly located in Bremen city center, and within walking distance to some of the major touristic attractions in Bremen (town musicians, town hall, schnoor quarter).
Erik was a terrific host, very friendly and attentive. He offered us a nice breakfast, some advice for places to see and he was always up for a chat. His English is quite good and he's very interested in meeting people from different parts of the world.
I would recommend his place to everyone that visits Bremen.
Erik showed us all the choice to visit Brema.
He helped us to find the right place and the right parking.
Breakfast was beautiful and he is a very curious and funny man!
We stayed with him the last night and drank a very good italian red wine.
Bed was comfortable and every think was perferct.
Erik was very kind and humorous host! Location is very convenient to reach everywhere. but Erik is not good at english, so conversation is not easy with him. (if you can say german, that's not problem) and bedding was not clean enough.
Dear Kideok, thank you for your review. I apologize my english was not perfect, but concerning you visiting germany and beautiful city of Bremen is kind of understandable. If i visit South Korea one day i doubt i would have chance to speak german there. I really would love to improve it if i were a bit younger and my age would allow me to take some classes. About cleanliness i really didn't have any problem before with any guest and i wish you have told me while we were having a glass of wine, if there was something wrong. It is really important to me that my guest feel comfortable and place is clean always.
