No parties, loud music, or noise.
Host was to the nice and straightforward. The room has a large Queen-sized bed, little kitchenette, bathroom + shower, and spacious living room area, which is really nice for a couple.
The listing was loud as expected, mainly due to the walls being thing (I could hear the neighbor playing music on their stereo pretty clearly, but it didn't bother us. Outside on the street there isn't too much noise (actually pretty quiet).
Location was great - most of the bars and shopping were in our area, so we could walk out and be right where the action was (Deschutes Brewpub and some cool cocktail lounges all nearby).
Number one best part about Adams' place? LOCATION. We walked everywhere, and were close to everything. Just a few short blocks from Burnside and the MAX stop is about a ten minute walk away (even when bogged down with heavy luggage).
As some of the other posts mentioned, the space is right on a busy street, and it can get quite loud. The bed is also a bit stiff. Other than that, my significant other and had a great stay, and would stay again.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Rick's microloft was very comfortable and was walking distance to everything that we needed, especially Voodoo Doughnuts! Getting to and from the airport was a breeze with the light rail being just a few blocks away. You come across some sketchy people every now and then, but they leave you alone. Our stay was during the middle of the week. I didn't think it was too noisy, just regular traffic noise that you would expect when you're staying in a city. Rick was a great host. He was very friendly, prompt with communication, and offered great suggestions on places/restaurants to visit. He was also kind enough to give us a ride to breakfast since he was going the same way. If I go to Portland again, I would definitely stay here.
The place was in a very good location, and it's priced affordably. The unit was clean. Our host was prompt with communication. It was pretty easy to get in and out of the place. As other reviews have noted, it is noisy. We didn't have any problems sleeping, though. Make sure to bring soap/shampoo as there was only handsoap in the unit. Thanks for the stay.
The space was very clean and had everything required for a multiple day stay. It was centrally located in downtown near bars, cafes, and shops.
Adams was very helpful and let us into the space later in the day while giving valuable suggestions on places to visit in the city.
Very highly recommended and all is as described in the listing.
Adams welcome us well, really enjoy my trip to Portland. Location of the place is great, close to everywhere in downtown but its not a quite neighborhood thanks again.
The place is a perfect location for a trip to Portland. The location is perfect for a lot of the sites to see and the space itself is very clean and offers great amenities.
Our host was great, offered suggestions on where to go, and was very easy to work with.
There is some street noise at night, so if you are an extremely light sleeper you may be disturbed, but it really isn't bad at all.
