The private bathroom is connected to your bedroom, and the talvera tiles add true Santa Fe Style!
This lovingly restored adobe is the perfect location to enjoy Santa Fe. Comfortable Queen size bed. Spacious guest closet. Charming tiled private bath with shower and tub. Suite offers a private patio. Wireless internet. Tea and coffee upon request.
This quiet, historic eastside neighborhood is a 5 minute walk to the art galleries and resturants on Canyon Road. Enjoy a pleasant 15 minute stroll to the shopping and museums of historic Santa Fe Plaza.
A mile or so in the other direction and you are at the fabulous Museum Hill with several world renowned museums to choose from.
Looking for something a little more physical? Wonderful hiking trails are close by, and it is a short 18 mile drive to Ski Santa Fe ski basin.
During your stay you will enjoy the peace and quiet of Old Santa Fe. El Farol, a historic favorite, has music in the evenings, and Geronimo's and The Compound offer fine dining options. All are an easy 5-10 min. walk from your front door.
Historic Santa Fe is a great walking city but the "Santa Fe Pick Up", a mini bus, services the area. You are welcome to bring your car. There is off street parking in my driveway.
Interaction with Guests
I follow your lead. My goal is to try and be helpful while respecting your privacy
Historic Santa Fe has beautiful adobe walls, lovely wood carving on gates and doors. It is a place of quaint winding roads. In the summer it is shaded by numerous old trees and on Monday nights the Acequia Madre (mother irrigation ditch) flows with water from the mountains You can walk home from dinner or a drink in the evening and see dark sky with numerous stars
The Santa Fe Pick up is near by and provides some transportation to major destinations but this is a fun walking city and you are well located to enjoy it.
I try to be a very flexible host. No pets as i have allergies. Your arrival time can be flexible if you stay in contact with me pending your visit. I don't offer full kitchen privleges but do offer space in my refrigerator for a few of your perishable food items.
Fresh coffee and tea in the morning upon your request.
Everything was as expected, and more. Maureen has a wonderful place in a great location. We had the best of times for New Year and it really made this the perfect place to start 2015. Maureen was tremendous in communication and accommodations. This is the first place we will look every time we head to Santa Fe. All was spectacular.
I highly recommend staying at Maureen's. She is an attentive and gracious host, while respecting your privacy. She offered excellent tips on sites to see during our visit, and provided coffee, tea and fruit each morning. Her location is one of the strongest positives. Her lovely home is in old town only three blocks from Canyon Rd with its restaurants and galleries. Her comfortable bedroom has a private entrance and bath. My wife and I both enjoyed our stay and would definitely rebook with her on our next visit. We loved it.
My sister and I stayed at Maureen's place, and had a wonderful stay. She was communicative, easy going and accommodating. Her guest room is tastefully decorated while still being very comfortable. It is spacious and we found it just as described and pictured. It is set up to give complete privacy, and the kitchen, living room and dining room are situated between the guest room and Maureen's bedroom area. The vibe in her home is welcoming and easy. She even had the coffee ready for us when we woke up in the morning.
Our time in Maureen's accommodation in Sante Fe was the best of our three week trip through the Southwest. We felt fortunate to be able to be inside a well-appointed Santa Fe home in one of the oldest neighborhoods. The area is extremely charming, quiet with good parking for our car and within easy walking distance of Canyon Road, the downtown and bus routes. The room was more than your basic room with artwork on the walls, a fine book shelf to browse, its own bathroom and patio area. Most importantly, it was clean and comfortable. Maureen provided morning coffee, beautifully laid out on a tray with lovely dishes, silver spoons, good sugar and real cream. Yum. Maureen was welcoming even though we came at an inconvenient time, and she helped us with her knowledge of local and regional attractions that suited our interests. We have no hesitation in recommending Maureen's classy but comfortable Santa Fe accommodation.
Maureen was friendly, welcoming and responsive. She has a gorgeous and relaxing house and within walking distance to just about everything in Santa Fe, which was nice because there is little parking in the downtown area. The private entrance and patio make this house a perfect fit for anyone looking for both a little privacy as well as access to someone who is around to provide information or suggestions about the city. I will stay at Maureen's anytime I come to Santa Fe. A truly great experience. Good coffee as well!
Maureen was a great hostess. She allowed our stay to be very private, had great coffee for us in the mornings, and was flexible about check in/out times. The neighborhood is quiet and fabulous - close to canyon road restaurants and couple miles from downtown. We used the well suite for mostly sleep as we had functions to attend for most of the days. So for those that need a TV, sitting area, etc. this may not work for you. It was great for us! The outdoor sitting area was very nice and we had a place to park the car. Best shower we ever had too!
Maureen was a gracious host and her place was comfortable and stylish, within convenient walking distance of the wonderful galleries on Canyon Road. It was even close enough for us to walk into Downtown to see Loretto Chapel, the Plaza, and the Georgia O'Keeffe museum, returning via Canyon Road (there's a free shuttle bus but we never used it). We ate a light dinner one night on the porch at El Farol, but we would also recommend walking another 50 yards for dinner at the Teahouse, which was uncrowded, affordable, and delicious. And afterwards, on our private patio, we relaxed and enjoyed wine from a vineyard we had visited a week earlier. Maureen's place was a wonderful haven to end our two-week journey out West.
