Interaction with Guests
I follow your lead. My goal is to try and be helpful while respecting your privacy
Historic Santa Fe has beautiful adobe walls, lovely wood carving on gates and doors. It is a place of quaint winding roads. In the summer it is shaded by numerous old trees and on Monday nights the Acequia Madre (mother irrigation ditch) flows with water from the mountains You can walk home from dinner or a drink in the evening and see dark sky with numerous stars
The Santa Fe Pick up is near by and provides some transportation to major destinations but this is a fun walking city and you are well located to enjoy it.
I try to be a very flexible host. No pets as i have allergies. Your arrival time can be flexible if you stay in contact with me pending your visit. I don't offer full kitchen privleges but do offer space in my refrigerator for a few of your perishable food items.
Fresh coffee and tea in the morning upon your request.
Our stay in Maureen's lovely home was just wonderful. I used to live in Santa Fe for 15 years, so I know Santa Fe and what is available quite well. This home is in a really wonderful location, it is close to everything, quiet and a true experience of Santa Fe lifestyle. The room itself is very gracious and exactly as shown. The bed was very comfortable. I also appreciated that the bathroom had plenty of mirrors and space to get ready for the events to which we were going. (And, I must say the water pressure was fantastic which in my experience of Santa Fe is no small thing.) My daughter and I really enjoyed meeting Maureen and chatting a bit. She has quite a peaceful demeanor and was very accommodating with any needs we had.
I am looking forward to coming back and staying here again.
Staying with Maureen was awesome! The room was absolutely fabulous, and in such a perfect location. Maureen was a wonderful host - so considerate and super friendly! Really enjoyed the coffee she made every morning - breakfast in the lovely courtyard was magic!
Maureen was a lovely host and gave us good suggestions about where to eat and what to see. Her place was as advertised, a pleasant room with lots of light, a comfortable bed and a private bathroom. We also had a private patio where we could lounge. Her home is a quick walk to Canyon Road and its multitude of artists' galleries. It's farther to the downtown plaza area, about a half-hour walk.
Maureen's place was perfect and her on-line pictures are really accurate. The room is spacious with a full closet and shelves for storage, a generous bath area, coffee or tea made for me every morning and space available in her fridge. While centrally located, this is a very quiet place.
Maureen is welcoming and left lots of material about things to do in Santa Fe. She offered excellent advice about restaurants.
I was there to take a workshop, so I tended to leave fairly early and return fairly late but we still bumped into each other most mornings.
In case schedules differ, however, Maureen has a little notebook, that she checks every day, so that you can make a note that you need something and "your wish is her command." :-)
Do note that while there is WiFi, there is no TV, so if you are bringing a laptop or iPad, earphones are nice so you can listen to what suits.
I had a very good experience. the location is excellent, within walking distance to Canyon Street.
The room and bathroom were immaculate and spacious.
Maureen is a great host. Very personable and helpful.
Coffee in the morning, private entrance, adorable private patio.
Overall a wonderful experience and I will definitely stay there again.
The house was beautiful, the bed very comfortable, and the room very clean. The private patio was relaxing and peaceful and the location excellent. We were left to do our own thing, but felt free to contact our host if we needed anything.
We absolutely loved staying in Maureen's beautiful home---she's definitely got great taste in furnishings. The neighborhood also couldn't have been better--just a few blocks away from all the galleries on Canyon Road. Maureen was out of town but we did get to meet her daughter Amanda who was a wonderful host!
