This lovingly restored adobe is the perfect location to enjoy Santa Fe. Comfortable Queen size bed. Spacious guest closet. Charming tiled private bath with shower and tub. Suite offers a private patio. Wireless internet. Tea and coffee upon request.
This quiet, historic eastside neighborhood is a 5 minute walk to the art galleries and resturants on Canyon Road. Enjoy a pleasant 15 minute stroll to the shopping and museums of historic Santa Fe Plaza.
A mile or so in the other direction and you are at the fabulous Museum Hill with several world renowned museums to choose from.
Looking for something a little more physical? Wonderful hiking trails are close by, and it is a short 18 mile drive to Ski Santa Fe ski basin.
During your stay you will enjoy the peace and quiet of Old Santa Fe. El Farol, a historic favorite, has music in the evenings, and Geronimo's and The Compound offer fine dining options. All are an easy 5-10 min. walk from your front door.
Historic Santa Fe is a great walking city but the "Santa Fe Pick Up", a mini bus, services the area. You are welcome to bring your car. There is off street parking in my driveway.
I follow your lead. My goal is to try and be helpful while respecting your privacy
Historic Santa Fe has beautiful adobe walls, lovely wood carving on gates and doors. It is a place of quaint winding roads. In the summer it is shaded by numerous old trees and on Monday nights the Acequia Madre (mother irrigation ditch) flows with water from the mountains You can walk home from dinner or a drink in the evening and see dark sky with numerous stars
The Santa Fe Pick up is near by and provides some transportation to major destinations but this is a fun walking city and you are well located to enjoy it.
This was our first experience with airbnb, and it was a great success. For us, this location was ideal. It was a beautiful neighborhood-quiet, and easy walking distance to the shops and galleries on Canyon Rd. There was a free shuttle nearby that we took for transport to the Plaza area and downtown museums. We loved our room, large bathroom, and private patio, with our own entrance. Maureen, was a perfect host. She gave us lots of space, but was very helpful when we needed directions and suggestions. The house was very charming, and beautifully decorated. We are used to sleeping in a king sized bed, so the queen bed took some getting used to. All in all, a great experience!
Meeting Maureen and staying at her place is the best thing that happened to me in Santa Fe! Maureen's adobe home is full of arts and stories. I learned so much about Santa Fe and New Mexican culture through Maureen and was very inspired by her to see more of the world. My journey would not have been the same without this unique experience!
Maureen's private room was a lovely respite in Santa Fe. Conveniently located to an art lover's paradise & one of the best coffee shops & cafe I have had the pleasure of enjoying! The entire house is beautifully decorated with original art throughout. Amazing quality & detail attention everywhere. I'd return without question. Maureen went over-the-top with information, guidance & general information. Warm, friendly & charming. I could not have asked for more. A perfect space for my needs. Thank you, Maureen. I really enjoyed meeting you & hope to see you when I return.
Maureen’s home is nested along the winding streets surrounding Canyon Road. The area is perfect for walking with great galleries and shops close by. She is a generous, thoughtful, informative host. The house is quiet and the bed extremely comfortable. I loved waking to the smell of fresh coffee brewing. Maureen’s eye for design and detail creates a lovely living space, something I look for when choosing places to stay. In addition, Maureen is a delight to live alongside and to engage in conversation. I highly recommend her location, her home, and her person.
Nice room and bath. Convenient to Canyon Road and St. John's College. Maureen was a very gracious host.
I loved staying at Maureen's place. She welcomed me and gave me an orientation tour of the area which was really helpful. Her house is a breath away from Canyon Road which I loved and a lovely walk to the plaza.Maureen had loads of maps and info on Santa Fe which were really helpful. I felt very comfortable and relaxed at Maureen's and had a great bedroom, bathroom & private balcony & felt very much at home. I had many cups of tea & enjoyed a glass of wine or two with Maureen. I would definitely recommend staying here.
Maureen's home was the perfect retreat for us during our stay in Santa Fe. The guest quarters are bright, warm, clean and have that "certain charm" that is unique to Santa Fe and a caring homeowner. Maureen was gracious and shared ideas for restaurants and activities. We left feeling as though we had stayed in the home of a long, lost friend. I definitely plan on returning to Santa Fe soon and feel I have a serene and lovely home base to count on there!
Our first visit to Santa Fe was a great one thanks to our wonderful host Maureen! We loved the convenience of the short walk to Canyon Rd. and the accommodations were top notch. Maureen gave us some great info on places to see and where to dine. We were very comfortable and felt right at home. We were greeted upon our arrival and then Maureen kept in touch via notes by the coffee counter making sure we were well taken care of. We appreciated the privacy as well the ability to touch base if we had a question. We will definitely be back. We LOVE Santa Fe!!!
Maureen was a lovely host and took every care to assure our stay was enjoyable. Her spotlessly clean home was a tasteful modern interpretation of a classic Adobe style residence. Our private bedroom, bath, patio, and parking were extremely comfortable and happily exceeded our expectations. The quiet residential location is ideal being only a short 5 minute walk to mid Canyon Road and a short 5 minute drive to central Santa Fe. I highly recommend her listing to others without hesitation and hope to stay with her again.
My son started at St. John's College so I booked in for 3 nights at Maureen's. it was a fantastic experience. Clean, neat, private entrance, coffee in the mornings with a nice note left for me. Maureen could not have been nicer. We had a glass if wine together in her patio one night while a hummingbird kept us company.
