Other Things to Note
The house is a historic property and is HUGE! Very roomy and perfect for large groups to hang out and enjoy the front or back porches and yards.
There are some basic rules. This is to make sure that everyone enjoys his/her time here as much as possible. The house was built in 1911. Old houses are dusty. There is 100-year-old hidden dust in every crack and crevice in this house and it does get stirred up! Please be kind and keep them in mind! Also please DO NOT MOVE FURNITURE....
To keep everything running smoothly please consider the following guidelines: If you use the kitchen to prepare food, please leave it the way you found it. Please do not eat or drink in bedrooms. There is a large dining room table for meals.
Open Door and Window Policy. Feel free to come and go as you please but remember to close and lock all doors and windows when you leave. This is for safety reasons and to minimize DUST!
No Shoe Policy. I would prefer that shoes not be worn in the house. It helps keep our home clean for all guests to enjoy. And you just might like the cozy and relaxed atmosphere it brings.
No Smoking or incense allowed on the property.
We really enjoyed our stay here! Big house with plenty of room inside and outside. All the beds were comfortable and hose was very responsive.
Getting to the Quarter was easy, just jumped on the bus outside for $1.25, or you can walk the 15 minutes or so.
G Maison was in a great location and was able to accommodate our entire group. There is a charming breakfast/ lunch place behind the house that was great for small meals. We rented bikes and the house was a short ride from both the Quarter and Bywater. Linens and towels were fresh, kitchen had basic tools for meals, and beds were comfy. Front porch was nice as well. Padlock system on front gate was finicky at times, but a good solution for our large group that was entering and exiting at different times.
Had a great time at the home. The place is surprisingly big and could very easily accommodate my 8 guest party. The only negatives I would say are the following: first, the neighborhood around the house isn't as nice as I thought. This is no fault of Gianna's but merely my inexperience with that part of New Orleans couples with my probably lofty expectations. Nevertheless, the house is a quite pleasant jewel in a little bit of a run down area. Secondly, it's definitely not a 15 minute walk to bourbon street. The three different times my group walked to or from bourbon it took about 25-30 minutes each. Not a huge deal, and maybe we took a route we shouldn't have (again because of our New Orleans inexperience), but still a bit of a disappointment.
All in all, though, the house is beautiful. The rooms and beds were comfortable and the house has everything you need for cooking, cleaning, hosting and relaxing. The backyard is also super spacious and great.
Gianna was also very available and responsive during my numerous questions leading up to the trip, and even adjusted her timeline a bit for check in time to account for a bit of an early arrival which was extremely appreciated. In summation, love the house and the host! Highly recommend!!

Gianna was really great an very flexible with our plans. She responded to our questions immediately and her home is gorgeous. We love it!
We had an awesome stay at G Maison and could not have been happier with our experience. As a group of 10 tourists who had never been to New Orleans, this was a great home-base as we explored the city. The house is well-located so everything is a reasonable bike ride / taxi away, and it was the perfect balance of accessibility to the main strips (bourbon, frenchman, uptown, etc.) but also had a nice local community present--def check out the Pagoda Cafe for morning cafe and some easy live music, a wonderful way to wake up in the morning. When we arrived, there was an slight issue with the electricity, as a fuse had blown and not all the outlets were working. Gianna / Noy were very responsive, and came and fixed the problem the issue immediately.
Given the price and the location, and the ease / responsiveness of our accommodations / host, I would absolutely stay here when I come back to New Orleands.
Gianna / Noy - Thank you for everything, we had a fabulous time and G Maison was the perfect complement to our reunion weekend. We could explore, but also had a real home to return to, recover from the heat, and enjoy each other's company.

I am a New Orleans native who has have finally returned to my home town. I'm obsessed with classic and foreign films (hence I hope to complete a screening room on site). I LOVE history, coffee and any body of water...
My favorite travel destinations are just about anywhere...especially where I haven't been...
