The Space

Coliseum Rooms is the perfect b&b you're all looking for your roman holidays.

The B&B has been recently renovated, revamping the interior design of the 4 private rooms and 2 bathrooms to a modern style. All rooms are very big, spacious, bright and modern.

Coliseum Rooms suits all types of travellers: young couples, backpackers and groups of friends are always welcome.

Interaction with Guests

The young local staff speaks english, french and spanish fluently. We are very passionate about our job and we always put much effort into making the guest experience unique. You'll be given a map and shown all the best things you have to experience, as well as some less touritsty ones of which guide books don't talk about.

The Neighborhood

The location couldn't be any better, it is very nice and safe at night, there are many good restaurants, bars, supermarkets, Italian deli shops and laundries. You'll have everything you need to feel local and at home.

Check In
  • The coliseum rooms were a great place to stay if you want to see everything in Rome but not be surrounded by tourists the whole time. It is a 10 minute walk from the coliseum but a bit of a hike to anywhere else, and I'm a New Yorker so I'm used to walking a lot. The good part though is you are in a more authentic neighborhood and that the metro is super close and easy to navigate so I would recommend using that. The place it's self is very nice, comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, kitchen access and the building stays pretty cool in the summer. Gianluca was wicked helpful, gave us a map when we checked in and walked us through what to do and how to do it, what's worth seeing and where to eat which was great! Over all, had a great stay!

  • Gianluca is a great host. The first thing he will do after you check in is to show you a map with all the areas and sites you should not miss when visiting Rome (piazzas, fountains, restaurants, hills, structures, etc). He's very good and accurate in mapping all those areas, you will never get lost. The restaurants he recommend are also very good. He even helped us make reservations because most of the places are so good, you can't just walk in.
The bnb location is very central, 5 mins walk to the bus stop that will bring you to the Colosseum in 5 mins, Via Del Corso in 8mins. Very convenient. You can even walk at night as it's relatively safe. Laundromat, convenient store, coffee shop across the street. It is also 5 mins walk to Manzoni Metro station (2 stops away from Roma Termini). These 2 stations have lifts or escalator to the street so it's convenient if you have a big luggage.
The room is also very clean and comfortable and he got someone to clean up the room daily. It is so nice to go back, after a tiring day, to a very tidy room. The toilets are spotless!
Lastly, he gives out breakfast stubs to claim from the coffee shop across the street. They serve nice croissant and decent espresso/cafelatte.
Gianluca is very serious in his bnb and he had exceeded all my expectations as a host. Thank you and hope to visit Rome again in future.

  • My friend and I had a PERFECT stay here. We stayed at Guanluca's lovely BNB for a 8 days, and there is simply nothing negative I can say about this stay. It was very close to the metro, and just a 10 minute walk away from the Colosseum, as promised. The breakfast was a very lovely idea, we got breakfast tickets, and had a coffee and pastry at a nearby café. The bed was comfortable, the place was clean, the other guests were quite and nice. Overall: PERFECT! I'd stay here again any day :)

  • I was amazed at how wonderfully easy and convenient everything about this B & B was. From the moment I got there I felt comfortable and right at home. Gianluca went out of his way during check in to give me a map with detailed instructions on how to get around the city. He even helped me make reservations at a local restaurant on the night of my arrival when the owners didn't want to let me reserve a table for one! I was nervous about the shared bathrooms but they were not an issue at all during my stay even with the B & B fully booked. I loved having a refrigerator to keep items in and the bed was comfortable. The internet was fast and I liked having access to a computer and printer to print my boarding pass when it was time to go home. Also, the elevator was a major bonus! I cannot recommend Gianlucas place enough and will definitely be staying here again if I ever find myself lucky enough to be back in Rome!
